I don't need to make anything up, nor do I have to explain myself. The only thing I have to say is, "Giovanni Torazza." Google should help you out with the rest.

If you can't find it yourself, I'll be glad to help you.

you guys are accustomed to high lift values to make power. 4V heads get their flow from .1-.4 lift.

ford uses standard 37mm valves in the coyote. FRPP 39mm stainless valves have back cut heads, undercut stems, and swirl polishing for 12 cfm per valve extra flow. just in valves there is ~25cfm per port over stock. that is a fact you can check out easily at the frpp site. we are talking 380 cfm for 11$ a valve. IF the stock CFM is really 355 like the engineers say. and thats without porting. typically there is ~7 cfm to be had in a 4v head from removing the valve guide bosses. ~2 cfm from a 250 grit sand roll.

so if it will help you SS guys rest easy, teel yoursleves there is NOTHING left in the heads, but the reality is, there is at least ~34cfm.

No doubt the 5.0 heads are excellent.

Don't kid yourself if you believe the LS3 heads are far from optimal as well. Leave the stock valve size alone, do a good port job and you have some really nice gains.

If you want to start talking cams and cost we can roll down that road too.

500WHP LS3 N/A is very achievable and will cost much less than the 5.0. That is fact.

This joke makes no sense. The 5.0 was never a 4.6 liter to begin with and it makes over 400 hp, why would it wish to be a 4.6 liter again lol.

The 2011 GT-500 has a supercharged 5.4 liter engine with 550 hp now. It's over 100 pounds lighter with better tires. Who even says GM is making a new Z28? It's all speculation but Ford does have the new GT-500 with 550hp coming out anytime now. Besides the 225 hp 5.0 could usually outrun the Camaro's 5.7 liter engine during the 80's and early 90's even though the Camaro had 245, it weight more, was an automatic (for years you couldn't get a 5.7 liter Camaro with manual) and had better gears. The only real time the Camaro got faster was in 93 with the LT1. I remember articles saying that the 5.0 Mustang kicked sand in the 305 Camaro and 350 Camaro during the 80's and early 90's until the LT1 came out and started destroying the 5.0's. It's not Ford's fault that Chevy couldn't produce a 5.0 liter engine worth a crap. It's not Ford's fault that it's small 5.0 could run with it's 5.7 Irocs. Chevy always had to rely on Displacment to run Ford's smaller engines. I mean look at the new 5.0 liter compared to the LS3. 5.0 vs. 6.2, that is impressive on Ford's part.

Chevrolet made an excellent 5.0 when they had to, and they put it in the camaro. Just not in the 80's or 90's. dz302 ftw.

yeah but other than that the 305's were only useful for boat anchors

IMO the Z28 will be slower than an SS with a maggie, or any other charger. And it will be slower than a coyote with a supercharger also.

Lightly tuned mustang runs 1/4 in 11.82

No forced induction:

11.98 @ 117MPH with a 1.67 60ft
11.85 @ 117MPH with a 1.64 60ft
11.82 @ 118MPH with a 1.63 60ft

I might be incorrect but their only mods thus far:

Offroad x pipe
custom catback
Tune
drop in K&N
control arms
ET streets
clutch (because they fried it)
.
