Did the air relocation mod....

VERY NICE!! Takes about 20 minutes and has a difficulty level of about 1. Used Scrming's thread with all the parts and pics. Got in for a quick test drive and the difference is def noticeable... it maintains that quick response the whole time. Usually after a few hard runs, you can feel the lag... not anymore!!

Here's the pic, doesn't even look too out of place!

Seen a couple members that have done this mod and seen good results however haven't heard from anyone with the V8 doing this mod...anyone heard otherwise?

BTW Looks great! Fairly inconspicuous and somewhat OEM looking.

With the way the maf sensor is setup you cannot do this mod on the V8. It is all one piece.

Should be able to... it's not that we are relocating the stock IAT sensor... the stock IAT sensor is still attached to the MAF sensor... Simply find the two wires for the the IAT sensor, cut those and wire a new sensor up...

Vector actually sells a kit so you don't have to cut your stock wires...

After doing this I got an engine light and I couldn't figure why.... but if you look at my pic carefully, you will see I cut the wires and attached the new sensor to the old one instead of the wires running to the ECM. So in essence, I drove about 60 miles with no sensor

So 2 questions...
#1 did I do any damage by doing this?
#2 will my engine light go off as the car cycles a few times or does it need to be cleared and reset?

No wonder it was so fast... air temp 0

Well I'll be damned. I should have known you could hook me up.
That vector unit looks very nice. Damn you scrming. Now I got to spend somemore money.

Will this work if you have the Airaid CAI filter?
