Just a short comment from an 'old man' of 54. When you grow up working for everything you have, you tend to have a better appreciation for things you own. The 'kids' here who are paying for their Camaros themselves, have my highest respect. They are learning early on a valuable life lesson that will help them deal with other situations down the road.
Getting old isn't all bad though, as my insurance for my SS is $511.00 for the year (full coverage)!

I agree completely, being 18 I know I can't have the upmost appreciation for my car, but I make sure I treat it like I bought it. I'm still in High School so paying for it myself isn't as easy as I'd like it to be. But with that said, it made me want to get a real job at this age to start taking an initiative to gain my own income to not rely on my parents as much. And so I did, and I am now employed with my first 40hr workweek job, and I couldn't be more excited

Dang, what job do you have?

I might get a little help from my parents at graduation next year, and my truck trade in will help....in the mean time, I'll be saving...and trying to decide on a color...IOM had my eye the first time I seen a Camaro....now that I've looked at other colors....I don't know which I would get. lol

How much is insurance on you 17-19 year olds? What kind of coverage, and with what company?

Also, whether you have an RS or an SS?
