If this is the case and they only offer them painted gray, I think I am going to have to pass. I typically do not but these ground effects packages from the dealer but was seriously considering it for my Camaro. Now that I hear this I will probably wait until I can buy some ground effects from an online retailer and get them painted and then install them myself.

I am new here and people probably have commented on this a million times, but I find it funny that Camaro is underlined in spell check.

i thought about buying another aftermarket kit when they come out but the good thing with this one is its probably polly eurithane instead of fiberglass. and it is under warranty if anything happens to it.
even if they put the damn kit in the car and sent it to the dealership and had the dealership paint it. i would be fine with that. but just offer it in more colors.

I'd buy them if they were body colored and factory installed. I don't understand the logic of having the ground effects in one color.. If you're gonna pick one color, make it silver so it'll be like the 80's and it'll match almost all the colors. Just my 2 cents

2010 5thGen,

I'm with ya 110%.

I CANCELLED my order because they were not body color matched...and the money I wanted to put into aftermarket goodies would have had to have gone into painting them to match the car. If I left them the same color, I would have had 3 grays on my car....which is obviously going to be a bit much.

Body colored only....cancelled so I could get other goodies instead.

I second that! primered ground effects would be the shnickers. let me paint my own. I always dreamed of buying a car from the manufacture without any paint, just primered so I can paint it my self with a nice Kandy colur. Maybe Kandy apple red with a silver base, six or seven coats of Kandy apple red and another 6 of clear. SWEET!!!

I agree, the rear diffussor is probably the biggest reason to go with this GFX kit. It just matches the lines of the car so much better than the round standard outlets.

The only good thing about them being dealer installed is that they can be ordered later if we choose to. But I have to wonder if RK Sport will come out with a set virtually identical. They'd probably cost less and come ready to paint.

The ONLY issue I forsee with this set is the front. They should have looked at the set for the 98-02's and done something similar. The 98-02's had a split front ground effect which reduced scraping on steep inclines.

i never really was a big fan of the split look. i think this one is better than what the had before. it gives it more of a presence.

Does the GFX package come with the rear diffuser? Like the front lip and sides, but don't care for the diffuser.
