Exclamation I think i got a red light TICKET !?

Today i ran a light in a long intersection and it turned red halfway. The one thing that im worried about is that the camera snaped a pic, but the reason im not that worried is because i don't have any plates. I just hope they dont zoom in for the vehicles vin # or the registration sticker on the windshield...what you guys think ?? Am i gonna get the ticket..if i do im screwed..my insurance is high already...

I'm not 100% sure but I think since you were already proceeding through the intersection when it turned you will be ok. Don't hold me to it because I'm not positive I'm correct.

depends on your state laws, but I believe in most places as long as your tires cleared the beginning of the intersection before it turned red you should be good. And yeah, most of those cameras are very high quality, so they'll definitely be able to grab your VIN if needed

Why wouldn't you have any plates? Not up on CA laws but I thought one needed plates to be on the road in any state??????

& PS I can't stand those cameras! We still cling to our liberties here in PA (as well as our guns & bibles ) so we don't have any (unless there might be some in Philly since that is pretty much West Peoples Republic of NJ anyway)

A former coworker got a ticket in the mail from one in MD... it said he'd run the light but listed his speed as 0 mph. How did he run the light if he was not moving? The dumbarse didn't want to take off work & drive all the way back to MD to fight it so he just never paid it & now there is probably a warrant out for him in MD... all because of some stupid faulty camera taking employment opportunities away from law enforcement officers he had to choose between having a warrant issued in the neighboring state or losing a day's pay & the gas money & time to fight the ticket.

WOW that sucks...when you buy your car..you have 6 months to not put any plates up...and if you get pulled over you can just show them windshield sticker that the dealer puts up its legal...if the camera doesn't zoom in for the ticket then im safe...lol

as long as your back tires were in the intersection when the light went red you didn't run the red light in California, so you're good if you get a ticket fight it

you have 30 days before you need plates on the car...The dmv should have sent you your plates within 30 days and that's when you're legally supposed to have them on your car.

I didn't receive my plates until after 3 months. My dealer told me it would be 8-12 weeks.

Dont worry about it i had a problem like this once i was registering a mustang a while back at the tax office. and a stupied biker cop gave me a ticket and left it on the window. the good part is that he put the plates on the previous owner. and since i got new plates for the (vasca) i was never fined or anything.

Next time go faster so the image will be blurred, and duck down so it can't get a picture of your face. You may get killed or kill someone but at least you'll beat those pesky intersection cameras!

(No, I'm not being serious)
