I heard they're gonna buy out Lotus and just throw a chevy badge on a Lotus Elise and use it for the 2012 Camaro.

He probably read 100 lbs and thought he saw 1000 lbs.

A 2800 lb Camaro SS would look like a Miata.

If the 2012 Camaro is 1000lb lighter I will give you my car for free.

100lbs off the 2012 would get me very excited. I doubt it though. If it were up to me, I'd trim 1" off the height of the car to make it look closer to the original. Cars nowadays have really tall bodies (I'm guessing for safety reasons?).

Haha, 1,000 lbs-that's hilarious. Not sure where he got that info. I thought it you accidentally added an extra 0! I'd be impressed with a 100 lb weight reduction.

The 2012 Cadillac ATS, Alpha platform is supposed to be much smaller to compete with the BMW 3 series. The Camaro is supposed to move to the same platform.
Not sure what the Cadillac is supposed to weigh, but the BMW is around 3,600 lbs.
(ZR1 about 3,350 lbs. and Z06 at 3,175 lbs)
