Starting new with Adams PC system..Junkman?

Hey Junkman need some help.....
How do I get Meguirs Carnuba gold removed from my paint to start out completly clean before using Adams PC system?
Wax and grease remover? Dawn dish soap wash job? Nothing just use it?
My paint is Black very very smooth but I made the mistake of using Costco China microfiber a couple of times before learning its a no no.
The car is'nt scratch too bad or spider webed.....do I use swirl and hase or go right to polish to not polish the clear coat away too fast?
Thank you.

Are you going to clay the car? Clay will remove all wax. Dawn will do the same.

Until Junkman gets here and gives the real deal... First, watch his videos. Lots of good info in those babies. Second, if you plan on claying (which you probably will, and the videos will explain how to check and how to do.), I believe the claying and a good wash to follow up will take care of any previous wax or product application.

(Garcmol beat me to it. )

IF you have never clayed the car since new......start by washing it with Dawn, then Clay Bar it.......do your self a favor and get a PC, then use it as discribed in Junkmans vid's. you will use swirl and haze, then the machine polish, then the machine wax. it will be AWESOME.

you should definitely start with clay and wash with your soap but mix a bit of P21S Auto Total Wash as well to strip the old wax.

Thanks for the replies. I did buy the Adams PC kit. The car has been machined polised once before I screwed it up with Costco yellow towels. With that I really don't see claying the car....the paint is very smooooth. It is just spidered here and there with a few scratches. I look forward to Adams products and the Porter Cable.

If it feels like rubbing your fingers around an orange, where you feel little bumps, you need to clay. The Ziploc baggie doesn't lie. If you have another car, maybe you can compare. when you feel it, you will know.

I'm in too!

Having my car detailed recently really showed me all the flaws I've caused from washing improperly. I had no idea that my cars could look even better than they already do!

I ordered all the products to wash the car properly for the rest of the summer and will buy the detail kit in a few months and start from scatch following the video step by step.

After watching both the Adams and junkman videos I'm convinced this is the way to go to keep my cars looking the best they can.

Now if I could just replace smoking cigarettes for cleaning my cars I would have the best looking cars around 24/7!!!!!!

if you are going to polish the car but still not sure if you need to clay the car. Clay it anyway and do the bag test again. If you feel the difference, then you already know what you are 'feeling' for.

Guy , someone on this site was talking about a spandex type stretch bra . Saw a pic of it and it looked pretty nice , very minimal in looks and will keep most of your state bird of the hood etc
