Sure, why not?
Unless you're going to post up in three weeks telling us how your wife won't stop driving your Camaro.

Yes!!! She will know why you love your car and be more supportive. A stick is not hard to drive. It just takes a little practice. She'll do great!
Also, imagine if the tables were turned. It sounds like a silly question then, doesn't it? |

Good for her. Be glad that she likes the car and is eager to learn more about it.
By the way, women are really good students and are eager to learn. When it comes to macho things like driving a manual transmission car, they are very receptive to positive instruction. Actually easier to instruct than many men who think that they know it all and can do anything. At least that is what my girlfriend tells me. Seriously, I find that this is pretty true in a lot of areas.

My car has 6K miles on it. I probably put 2000 of those on it.
I can't keep her out of the damn thing. At least she keeps it full of gas

Buy a $500 beater. Let her learn on that. Then let her drive the camaro. It's a lot cheaper than a new clutch.
So No, then maybe yes.

NO
Before I start, the people that said yes are one of these crazy, your woman started out very good and you got lucky, or have no experience in the matter. When it comes to learing, there are two types of people; People that can pick it up right away and have little to no hiccups, or it takes them time to grab a hold of it. If you want to use the Camaro, you might want to find this out when you start in the Camaro, so you can abort. What can happen is if she is one of those people that don't pick it up right away, she is not going to be the only wearing down the Camaro's gear What can happen is your abilty to sit and let the car get "beat-up" will diminish, and it is possible yelling can occur. Never Good. Soultion to the problem is to use a car with no emosanal strings attached or finanicaly attached to the car's transmisson over the long run. The key to success. |

haha, not a chance in hell I'd let my fiance learn how to drive a manual with the Camaro!! she can buy a beater for $500! I've gone through 3 sets of wheel covers for her Honda in 2 years.
