Lightbulb Thoughts about taking 5th Gen. Camaro to car show

So my buddy wants me to come up for a car show and take my car along with his fathers 68 Camaro SS...my thoughts are...Does anyone really care for a 5th gen when you are surrounded by Historic Cars? Just wondering what you guy's and gal's opinions are.

I took my SS to many cruise nights and car shows last summer and fall. Drew big crowds while mixed in with the antique cars. New Mustangs, Challangers, replica Cobras, etc are also at most of the shows around here.
It may be a different story this spring and summer though as more and more new Camaros are now on the road...... I may have to start bringing the antique Olds 88 again.

Entered my 5th gen in the Kemah Camaro show, mixture of all gens, even with 65 Camaros in the show they all draw equal attention from the people attending. Any Camaro is awsome! A lot of folks don't get a chance to look at one up close, just see them flyin by them on the road.

My 5th gen had so many people walking up to it at the cruise last summer, I could not even get out of the car, these Camaro's draw big crowds, it is awesome, makes you feel like a celebrity.

Go ahead and take it just make sure it's really clean and that means the whole engine area, door jams, everything. I never vote for a car that doesn't have their hood up.

Yes, they love them because it something different. I won peoples choice at a local fire dept car show two weeks ago. Some of the guys that have old cars that spent the big bucks and put in a lot if time to restore their hot rod frowned upon me taking mine ,but I just told them that to me I just skipped a few steps.
Instead of over paying for an old worn out car, then putting your life savings and countless ours in restoring something back to original only to have a car that pales in comparison to todays cars, I went and bought a new hot rod that looks just as good as the old ones(some say better), handles far better, brakes far better, is faster ,and has all the comforts of home all the while getting 25MPG. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

Take it and enjoy the day. Many people will be glad you did.
