Yeah but the whole point of me getting new shoes would be to get better times at the track. I think the stock wheels look better than the 551s (a little bit) but yeah it's hard to choose. How long of life do those slicks have?

El Paso Motorplex (Clint). I-10 East, exit 42, U-Turn, about less than a mile to your right (north of I-10)

I believe they start running around 12 or 1 with the brackets starting at 6 or 7ish

Alright fellas, I have just ordered the following:

1) PFADT diff bushings, engine mounts, and trailing arms
2) 1000 HP axles from Paschal
3) Stillen ACT 850ft-lb twin disk clutch

And I am quite possibly ordering these tomorrow:

1) CCW SP551's with Nitto NT05's (Front) and NT05R's (Rear)
2) JRE Custom Camshaft Package
3) 4.10 gears

What do y'all think? I believe I'll be able to break into the 500hp range and be able to put it all to the ground!!!

Hee Hee you got the Mod bug!! I dont know if the cam alone will get you 75hp but it will help. When is the forced air coming? I think in our case the local track is as much of the traction problem as anything else. I will definatly hit the next run in Roswell to test that theory.
One of the reasons I am going with the Pedders remote reseviors to the be able to hold the weight transfer on the rear longer. They adjust both bound and rebound. Between all of us we should be able to figure out how to hook this car......Mod On!

Just ordered Jannetty's Cam Package. Should be good for another 30-50 hp!

Cool! Will it run with the turbo package you want to add later? I can tell you first hand this modding never stops!
Should have my suspension done around the end of the month if the new coilovers get in....I cant wait for this mod. I hope it all helps me hook a little better.
The way I look at it there is no such thing as too much power, keep us up on it.

Hmm... I doubt it was meant to run with turbo however I don't doubt it would work... I won't get the turbo package for at least another year or so. My mods currently are to get a good foundation for the power adders to come (i.e. heavy duty axles, clutch, bushings etc.)

I think I'll have the clutch, axles, suspension, and possibly the new cam installed before the 21st but I am hesitant to purchase some wheels and tires.

I love the CCW SP551's (like El Chorizo's but with some grooves along the spokes) and the new Nitto NT05Rs look pretty promising but I don't have an insane salary like you all (no disrespect lol) but I do what I can.

Hey Michael, I think Lingenfelter makes an aftermarket Launch Control for your setup. You should look into it. It would definitely keep up the consistant times. Not to diss Richard's "all in the driver's skill" method, but I think that any technological help that's available shouldn't be overlooked.

Did you get my text? I want to know who's going to the Southwest Superchargers tomorrow. Registration starts at 12 and the fee is about $55. I know they prep the track really well for these events as top fuel dragsters attend.

We should definitely check it out!
