This, spare 20" will not fit in the designed space under the trunk floor. As far as I know there are no donuts that can fir over the brembo's. A spare tire and rim will fit in the trunk but it has to be put in through the seat area.

There is a video on here of a Chevrolet engineer who puts two loaded golf bags in the trunk!!!

I was just going to buy a front tire/wheel setup as well and throw it in the trunk so if anything happens I have a combo that can replace it and get me where I need to go. Still have to figure out a jack situation though...

I have a question for you you V6'ers with the spare tire in the trunk...where is your battery? I have the inflation kit, and along with that is the battery in the trunk....?

Here is what it looks like in my trunk. Tire inflation kit on top with battery underneath.

I was going to do this as well, but it looks like it wont fit in the well, which is what I wanted it to do, lol. Im not really open to losing trunk room, especially with the size of the wheel being in there...

The battery is in the same place. The spare tire REPLACES the inflation kit. So where you have that foam piece is where the spare tire rests.

In case anyone missed out. The SS does not have run flats. There are currently no run flats in our size. The spare tire donut will not fit over the brembos and carrying a full size isn't really an option because the tires are directional.

Being "directional" doesn't equate to not being able to use it as a spare.

And you could drive on nothing but 87 octane in an SS but again it's not recommended.

WRONG WRONG WRONG, got a nail the first week on owning the car. Did even know until the PSI came on, went to the dealership to get it fixed was told they don't plug the run-flats that come on the car. Went to three tire shops and all three said the same thing that what was on the car is run-flats and that due to the location they won't touch it. Finally found a tire shop that would and got it hot plugged. These are run-flats on this car. Either that or 5 different car shops and dealership all got it wrong.
