Tires and wow's!

In case it hasn't been posted anywhere on this site yet, CNN has declared the 2010 V6 Camaro as the most fun car to take on a road trip. See this link: http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2010/...ip_cars/4.html

I can attest to it's truth since the wife and I recently went to Vegas in ours, and it rocked.

Second on my agenda, for those who are unaware, I have RS pirelli tires sitting around waiting for someone to buy them. I took them off after about 800 miles last Fall to put on some good winter tires. For anyone interested in replacing their Pirelli's as they wear out, I am selling all 4 tires for $750. PM if interested.

Keep up all the good info people! One of these times I will actually be able to make one of the scheduled events.

Best phone call of the day... My husband & son got back from the Green River last night. This morning my husband called and said, "There's a lizard in the back of my truck. What do you want me to do with it?"

Hey SSOOCH sweet toolbox! I could use a lesson on the car waxing as well. Black is brutal but so nice for the 5 minutes that it is clean.

To all, thanks to all for the generosity with the exhaust. Warhead hooked me up with his old one and with luck they will be on my ride by the end of the week.

So, in 6 days the RogueSS machine heads to Vegas.

I would like all of you to start using your collective powers for good weather between now and then so I can get the car polished up.

And, if you could give me good weather tomorrow morning, that would be great too....I have to recertify on my rifle and it's outside...rain would not be fun! Thanks!

Rogue: consider it hoped for.

Driveway- but for the 2 boats, 4 cars & a basketball standard... My biggest fear are the braindead neighbors who would back into one of us.

We could go high class, order some wife beater tank tops & park on the lawns. Or there's a neighborhood car wash with a big, not too busy parking lot...

No, no, no... there are no yachts or anything "fancy hot-rocks" in my drive. Just a family boat for the lakes and a drift boat for the rivers. We do a fair amount of fly fishing so the drift boat was a must. It can be rigged for fly fishing or whitewater.

We floated Hell's Canyon a couple of years ago. It started out great (not) when everyone was saying "rig to flip." I'm like "No, rig to flip. No flipping!" Let me just say, if I were rowing, we'd still be sitting at the top of Wild Sheep Rapids. I'd have never gotten the guts to do it. Holy *beep* it scared the *beep* out of me! You have to get out to "scout" how you're going negotiate the rapid. That's what the others said anyway. I now know that it is just to look at something beautiful right before you die.

We hit the rapid (standing 7-8 foot waves) and the boat in front of us hit the second wave sideways. It looked like the rower was falling from a 3rd story window. His wife was sitting in the front of the boat. She looked back to see that her vessel was unmanned. We couldn't see the guy come up, but by that time we were in the middle of it. My husband had things lined up perfectly and was going to pull one more time to line it up, but we were on top of the wave, and he only rowed air. As a result, we went through it sideways, I half drank and half inhaled the Snake River when a wave nearly decapitated me. I somehow managed to grab my girlfriend to keep her from falling out. All the while, my husband was yelling "Sh*t, sh*t sorry girls!" I coughed up water for the next hour. So in short, I have no desire to do that again or ever return to "Sh*t, sh*t sorry girls!" rapid.

Next time I'll tell you about running Westwater with Pablo, Jimmie & the peg legged man. The only thing that was missing was a pirate flag and an eye patch.

I could probably get 5 or 6 on creatively...

Rogue - I'll agree with you as to certain types of fishing, but fly fishing is a bit different. There's an element of risk involved (catching yourself, others, dogs, trees...bats), therefore drinking doesn't go so good with it.

Also, I just want you to know I hoped really hard for nice weather.
