How is a forum different from any other site then? If forums are held responsible for making sure their members are licensed what about ebay, amazon and craigslist etc. Those sites are FULL of products being sold by people who do not have licensing rights. Plus the sights are selling the products directly not just talking about the products. I am no lawyer either but it makes no sense.

What makes me nervous about them is on their website they say they're only making 500 of each product. I find it hard to believe that they can get their afterburner lights DOT approved and with the cost of R&D make that much money off of them unless they charge an astronomical amount. They're "producing" everything the Concept lovers want, yet only 500? Especially when they would sell a ton of the taillights and concept shifters.

Just got an e-mail from them, and a PayPal refund. I think they've been great to deal w/, and it seems like they are attempting to do the right thing (including prompt/upfront communication, at least w/ me). They have to get past the licensing issue(s) first I guess.

There should be a follow-up e-mail sent to you after your refund notice.

NOTE: I do not work for this company, I'm just a customer who wanted one of their products like the rest of you.......

So as promised, your updates:

· All orders placed have been refunded, you should see charges back to your cards within a few days. Those who paid with PayPal accounts should see the funds there now.
· As it stands, GM is refusing any and all licensing on the SS moniker.
· There are ways around this, but as we’ve said before; we believe in doing things the right way. This includes doing licensing.
· Currently, were going to keep fighting for the license to produce these but until we get it; we can’t move forward with the SS Grill Fillers.

From EMI (GM’s copyright management company):

Please be advised that GM is not authorizing any companies to produce the products you have requested to do, including via licensing, other than those companies that may have been authorized in the past; therefore, we cannot help you at this time. Of course, in light of this GM position, you do not have GM’s permission to use its Trademarks on or in association with any products or merchandise.

Why? We have no idea. We’re being given 0 information as to if the licensing will ever be allowed or why it’s not being allowed right now.

What can you do? Emailing EMI is an option. Or GM…

info@equitymanagementinc.com

For those of you who can (were still banned), can you please pass this info along onto the camaro5 forums…

We want to produce these and more for you guys, but our hands are tied… help us out! Voice your opinion.

If you guys have any questions, please feel free to email us back.

This sucks that we have companies making what we ask for, spending their money to make molds and marketing and then they are not allowed to manufacture. GM need to readdress this issue and not just play with the palyers already in motion. This is the best verwion of this mod to date.
