I used Mothers last night and I loved the outcome. Eleanore looks better than the day I bought her, did I mention next month is her birthday.

I have used both and think that mothers is better. But I would recommend zaino.

I've used Meguiars, Mothers, Erazer... but, I found that Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay together with the Pinnacle Clay Bar Lubricant (versus Meguiars Final Inspection) seems to work best for me.

Do I have to wax right after i clay. I'd rather wait a day or two. Don't wanna do too much in one day. Im thinking I could wash, dry clay... garage and then next day wax.
Prob not gonna polish as I have no swirls. |

You want to get some kind of protection onto the paint as soon as you can after you clay bar - especially if it is not garaged. If you think it is going to be too much to do in one day, I would recommend breaking it up so you are claying and waxing parts of the car on the same day (do hood, roof and trunk day 1; front, back and sides day 2 for example).

All clay in the USA is manufactured by Auto Magic. So it doesnt matter who you buy the clay through, there's a 100% percent chance its manufactured by Auto Magic. There are different grades of clay though, fine, medium, aggressive. I always recommend fine grade unless you plan on polishing, because medium and aggressive can induce micro-marring.

As long as you wipe the DS dry after using the clay bar. Your correct. If you let the DS dry on the car, you'll probably want to re-wash

You will have dust on the car the next day that will have to be removed before the wax...as said above small sections at a time is better if you cannot do the entire cycle before dust etc...settles...

Interesting point by 2TLRS, I have used the Mothers Kit in the past and can say it does work great. I don't remember the kit giving a rating to the clay (fine, meidum, etc) is there something that says what is in each kit?

I used Mother's and I liked it. I have nothing to compare it with but I liked the results. Once done I used my usual Zaino polish to seal the deal. I know Zaino has its own clay bar but I didn't want to wait to get it to use it. I managed to clay and wax my car all within a couple of hours. Will probably do it again this fall as well but the test is to take a plastic baggy and put your fingers in it and run it over the paint and this will allow you to feel any debree in the paint or finish.
