Buy just rear end of ground effects kit?

Hello, long time reader, first time poster here

I am really curious because I really like the look of the Chevy Ground Effects kit, but it looks like it would be too low.

If anyone can clarify to me if it is or not it would be nice

But if anyone knows if I can purchase the rear end alone, could you recommend me to a place where I can it would be really helpful. If I get some clarification on if its low or not, who knows I might just get the whole package!

Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forums.

Too low for what? speedbumps? potholes? driveways?

You'd probably have to find someone that is selling the kit in pieces because they decided not to install them. You'll find a link to the marketplace section of the forums below. Otherwise, just head into your local dealer and see if they can order the piece a la carte.

Good luck!

I'm mainly concerned with driveways and speed bumps, and thanks!

So you just want the rear? No front or sides?
I think that'll throw the look off.

I don't think it would throw it off too much, if I added just the rear I think it would look proportional

I havent rubbed on anything yet with my gfx. Seems like the ground clearance is pretty good all around. Stock suspension though, so I dont know about lowering it and the ground clearance then.

Thanks for the info! I might just consider getting the whole kit then!

the GFX doesnt lower the car at all, and from what i have read you would not have any problems with driveways or speed bumps. and i dont think that you can buy a new GFX i in pieces, but you might be able to find something in the market place.

I think I'm pretty much convinced to get the whole kit. If I were to buy online from a GM part site, what do you think would be the price difference if I would just go to a dealership?

online from a GM warehouse should be cheaper as they will stock- a dealer is going to have to order, mark-up etc. its a series of LARGE boxes so it comes via freight as opposed to standard ground... fyi when you get yours...

and yes, the GM GFX do not alter the ground clearance at all...the only change is approach angle on the front end since the front lip protrudes further out than the stock lip

Thanks for clearing that up for me man. I'm gunna have to tell that to my old man. He was trying to convince me not to get it because he thought I would loose ground clearance, but now that that's cleared up its time to go check it out!

One of our sponsors sells just the rear. He has a listing in the sponsors classified section under the exterior parts.
