What the hell are just repeating my post words LOL! If u want, get it again:
1. Its not ME coming mustangsource.com and "trying to make yourself feel better about your purchase". 2. Pricing IS NOT similar, its 1-1.5k difference. 3. The Camaro IS better handler cos of IRS for sure, and IT IS quicker, if it modded to same price, as stock stang is cost. 4. Its U, who came here and trying to justify your purchase. 5. Ive bough my dream, was it wrong? Idiotizm thinking like that. And the last one: Every ur post repeating urs or parts of other people. SO. U try to use some new thoughts and ideas, or il just copy and past for u all previous 5 FACTS for u, so i wont waste a lot of time on a troll, who cant even listen. (even not me, people had a ride on it , did u? JESUS) |

i dont really see camaro bashing. i do see a very stubborn camaro owner that KNOWS his car is faster even though every test shows otherwise lol. ive said it before and ill say it again. performance wise stock for stock the GT ans SS are very close, but the v6s are not. does it make one car better in your eyes than the other? no, should it be your sole decision on buying a car? no. should you buy the car that makes YOU happy and nobody else, absolutely. |

Im not bashing the mustang, i like the mustang thats why I went to the dealer (two actually) and i tested the car twice. I also said that I would like to see the camaro v6 compared to a premium mustang v6 w/o performance pacakge because the V6/RS is comparable to the V6 Premium Mustang, if you add the performance package on the Mustang then you should add something similar to the Camaro AND THEN run th numbers again. I also said why I chose the Camaro over the Mustang and I dont need to justify the purchase because I could have simply purchased the Mustang! Finally im not working hard to justify the purchase im just pointing out that 80% of the stang advantage, especially in the handling dept. is caused by the PERFORMANCE PACKAGE..thats it! thats all i said...NO BASHINGS I personally believe if Chevy can offer a performance package for the Camaro from the Corvette's parts bin, the Camaro V6 will kick the Stang's ass roundtrip. |

Sorry, that was actually towards CamaroBelarus not you, but I will say if the Camaro gets the RS package than the Mustang should get the perfromance package simply because the RS package gives the Camaro 3 season tires and the performance package is the only way to get them on the Mustang V6. 2LT without the RS package vs Premium GT base is more of a fair comparison there. Also, unfortunatly, the Corvette doesn't really share anything with the V6 Camaro since both are on totally different platforms. Any perfromance package for the V6 Camaro would have to be designed specifically for it. |

OK kids..settle down lol.
Heres the bottom line whether you choose to accept it or not. Mustang with the lower gears and performance tires WILL be quicker than the Camaro! Think about it...around 300 lbs of weight loss AND lower gearing....it just makes perfect sense that the mustang will be faster. Now, I've read an article or two and a couple of posts on first hand driving experiences concerning the mustang V6 WITHOUT the lower gearing and each has stated the car did not feel any faster than the Camaro V6. Maybe it is, but if it is, it aint by much. With this gearing and an auto, the Camaro seems to be favored. Now...I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that adding 3.55 or especially 3.73 gearing in the Camaro V6 would put these cars on basically level ground when it comes to 0 - 60 or 1/4 mile times. Again it just makes perfect sense, and I feel if you can't agree with the above your either in denial or too much of a fanboy.

I always thought the Chevy Perforamce pacakge was always called the "Super Sport"
Doesn't Chevy offer an SS on just about every model?

I agree. But you would need 4.10 if the mustang has the track pac with the 3.7x gears. For all the v6 manual owners gears in rear end are the same as V8. Sorry auto V6 has different rear end. |

I was a devoted Stang man for years. And yes, the 300 less lbs that the Stang carries is what makes it faster.
But even with the freshened styling, the Stang still pretty much looks like it did in 2005. The Camaro on the other hand, is a fresh look. I unexpectedly get looks, stares and thumbs up's almost every day I drive it. |
