732.5 Horsepower At The Rear Wheels. 842 Horsepower At The Crank.

The Amazing Thing Is That It Would Have Made More Power With A Blower Cam.
I Insisted On A (Non Blower) Radical Sounding Cam Which Sounds Downright Evil, But I Had To Give Up Horse Power.

All Of The Guys At Jannetty Racing Are Really Something Special. That Includes Everyone At Jannetty Racing.

How are you losing 110hp through your drivetrain?

The Industry Standard Is To Add 15% To The Rwhp Number To Convert To Engine Horse-Power.

I am not trying to be argumentative or ignorant, only trying to understand the thought process here but, if you lost say 40hp through your stock drivetrain at 425 crank hp and you added a supercharger that gave you another 125hp for 550 crank hp you still should only lose 40hp through the same drivetrain.
I will assume that you "beefed up" your drivetrain to handle that kind of horsepower but, wouldn't an aftermarket set-up be more efficient than stock to take advantage of what you have, not lose it.

The crank horsepower number is a rough estimate. Its pretty simple. The car came rated at 426 fwhp. Most LS3's are making about 365 (average) at the wheel. So if you do the math thats about a 15% (14.5%) drivetrain loss. Now when the fwhp is at 842 and you subtract the 14.5% for drivetrain loss you end up with 122 hp and that equates to a rwhp of 720. So Ray's car may actually make more at the crank. Just becasue you are making more fwhp the % of loss still remains the same. Hope this help.

Regardless, the car looks slow and I will be abusing him at our local track soon! Ray, Another rental on the 18th of June. Maybe Ted will loan you a $100 after you pay him so you can go!

Just so you know, Ted is on the case I'll be taking care off soon. I'm still not sure, converter or gears at this time. But either one will be done this week. I have another renatl on June 18th. Don't think that I'm gonna let you or Don get to far ahead of me.
