I would also try to use admitting that she was right to your advantage as Hylton hinted...

When it comes out, I'm going to make you post that I was right for telling you to listen to your wife.

Definitely wait for the Camaro. The G8 in my opinion is so-so. I have seen several on the road and they just dont look different. Also, its not to far off to wait until the Camaro comes out and then you can compare the two. GM all the way!!!!

That is my opinion as well. I, more than almost anyone, understand the desire for a new car now (driving an Aveo for 3 1/2 years will do that). And I almost traded it back in August of '06. Then they announced that the Camaro was going to be produced. I immediately stopped looking for another vehicle and resigned myself to driving the put-put until I could get a new Camaro.

I doubt anyone will be happier than me to get out of their current vehicle and into a Camaro. LOL

If you buy the G8 now, you will always regret it because you took the Camaro off the table. Wait, try them both and then make the call.

Well I got rid of my 67 Camaro in 2000...It was not a road car....track only....Since 2000 I have been driving a Ram 2500 4x4 diesel. Great truck when I needed a truck with that kind of power, I just dont anymore. But I do have it running 14.4 in the 1/4 pretty respectable I think.

I understand what he is talking about WM. Don't get me wrong, the G8 is a damned fine car -- but it still has that euro-wedge styling that has kept me buying trucks and SUVs my whole life. I think this is what he is talking about:

This is what a G8 looks like coming toward you in the other lane:

Very similar to these:

Grand Am GT

BMW

Etc. Etc.

This is not only distinct -- it is destinctly and indisputably American.

I have many of the same items on my list. I've held off the G8 so far...
