Well, in a bizarre turn of events, something interesting happened this afternoon.

Yesterday was a rollercoaster of emotion, having to cancel my order for my 2SS/RS. I was gutted (still am) but it was the right decision.

Classic Chevrolet who I ordered the Camaro from, is having a sweepstakes for a 2010 Camaro LS. My wife and I entered the competition as soon as we saw it, well before we ordered our Camaro.

This afternoon, I got a call from the Classic Chevrolet marketing department to tell me that out of the 6700 entries to the sweepstakes, they have drawn 20 names, and mine was the last one drawn!!!

The final drawing takes place on June 1st at Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, and I will definitely be there!!!

Can you believe it? Had to cancel my 2SS order yesterday, and now I'm in the final 20 with a chance to win a 2010 Camaro LS!!!

An incredible week so far! My emotions are crazy at the moment!

Cupra, congrats on your first child. When the time is right you will be driving a Camaro soon.

My 2011 2LT/RS, RY, Auto is also scheduled for production during the week of 6/7/10 according to CamaroTracking.com. The suspense is killing me.

I did however win an Apple iPad, so I can't complain too much!

Yup got the 3400 status today. Apparently we all had the same idea, have a kid at the same time that you get your camaro. My first born is due in July.

Yeah, the childcare that my wife wants is $1200/mo - OUCH.

And that is the reason I canceled my order! We 'might' be able to do the child care and extra money for the Camaro payment, but being as this is our first child, I don't know what to expect and I certainly don't want to be a 'deadbeat dad' thinking only of myself and my Camaro, so I did the right thing, as hard as it is to still get updates about how my (shouldhavebeen) Camaro is doing in the production process, and canceled the order.

There is time... I will get one further down the line, maybe in a year or so, or maybe the stars align and I can pic up a deal in November when dealers need to shift 2010's off the lot.

Till then, I'll still be living vicariously through you guys on Camaro5.

And just think, order no NXBJWR wouldn't be getting built next week, if it wasn't for me, so if anyone picks it up, take care of it. That was my 'first' baby!
