Hey everyone! Richard (EmperorSS) and I are going to the Drags tomorrow. Would anyone else like to go? We are gonna meet up around 4:30 to go eat and hit the track at 6pm. I'm thinking that we should eat at Schlotzky's on Lee Trevenio.

What do y'all think?

Well guys... Best I ran was a 14.100 @ 105mph Seems like the 1000 hp axles and the Trailing Arms didn't really eliminate all the wheel hop but boy did those NT555R's Hook! I guess at my power level I have enough rubber to hook up but I still need some practice with those launches... I guess I'll just have to learn how to launch the right way without launch control.

Dont sweat it, the track was probably terrible. I heard they closed two hours early on Friday and kicked out 12 cars. They also kicked out a race team shooting some video because they did'nt pay them to film there.
I am about ready to give up on that place.

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend.
I'm not looking forward to spending 6 days without my car, but hopefully D.C. will be a good enough distraction.

I was out on my bike Sunday but didn't recognize the first couple of camaros at the track. Once I can get the bikes out of my system I'll take my stock 2SS out there. Can anyone say what is the best a 2ss is capable of here, stock?

Actually, the track was very sticky early in the day.

JMLozano ran a 13.4 or five once when they had the track prepped for the Southwest Superchargers. If every thing was perfect you might could squeeze out a 13 flat.

One other thing you will probably need some DR's to get there, the traction at Clint is terrible. I wish they would clean the track and put down VHT on Sunday night. I have seen a lot of people want the track to work, but the lack of maintanence will turn everyone off.
I have to roll off the line and short shift at about 4500 rpms on 1st to 2nd then roll into second or I bust loose even with DR's. My best time here is a sorry 13.3.

Definitely get down to race in Roswell if you can. Probably can run a full second faster there.

Do they have a web site with a schedule? We need to plan for a bunch of us to run up there.

I'd like to know about Roswell too. In El Paso, they did spray decently last Sunday May 30th, and I think they will do that on Fridays, too. Traction was better than the couple of local race days I've been to.

Because I was wrong in the past, here are the couple of links I can find about the El Paso schedule. Nobody has confirmed VHT for Fridays. Wednesdays are every other week apparently. One of the posts doesn't mention Sundays but I think every Sunday is open. They still might shut down on the days adjacent to a race. Finding the schedule is really a pain.

Here are the posts I can find:
