Fine Print:

1. This has to be the official wedding ceremony. Use a Justice of the Peace, Minister or Priest, but it would have to be the first set of 'vows'. You can hold your real reception after the event, but I am sure there will be a Camaro-ception Celebration.

2. The bride and groom both must wear, in the most dignified possible style, a little bit of Pedders RED, BLACK and YELLOW.

We'll fly in the Pedders bull, we could do it at the drag strip... we'll help you figure out how to do this in a dignified, but Camaro-fanatic way. This is a HUGE bribe -- Retail is more than $6,3000 and that does not include installation. Your wedding gift will include the bits and the installation. My guess is some of my friends in the business will also have wedding gifts for you. This would be awesome if you would share your special day will all of us at C5Fest while we make your Camaro even more special as a wedding gift. Just thinking out loud in the forum....

This offer is open only to Honey Bee.
I am getting married next year. Now just to talk the boss into this............oh and buy a Camaro

Ya, I hear ya. My daughter is getting married on April 30th - please don't have the Fest that early (or that weekend).. May or later please.. The younger group (college owners are still in school and folks with children still have their kids in school too)... June would be great, but ya, ya, I hear ya, it will be hot.

Location: My two cents, since the Fest is not going to be back in the East, I'm hoping for Midwest. Kansas is an 18+ hr drive for me (NC), more for most. And about as far as I would want to drive and incur all the extra costs (gas, lodging, meals, BEER, etc.). Just not going to work for everybody. But I'm hoping for May/June....

I don't envy the group making the selection... But I know it will be well thought out.. Thankx, Mods, for all you do.

When we left for CamaroFest 1 on April 9th we still had snow here. We also hit snow for 300 miles in Montana, Idaho, Utah and northern Nevada. May would work better for us northern people because of the passes in the Rockies can be pretty unpredictable in the spring. It is only 5 or 6 hour between Vegas and Phoenix so Firebird would not be that much more of a drive. Heartland would also be fun in the middle of May i think. Keep up the good work mods. Thanks.

Holy smoke! How long did it take you to get to the fest? Did you drive the 2010 SS?

El Diablo smoked everyone for the long haul award.

Something like 8,900 miles round trip, right ?

As far as C5Fest2, the late March to early May dates are right on target...

I've never been to Kansas so I don't know what their spring weather is like but I doubt Heartland would get as hot as Vegas or Firebird.

Firebird would pull in the west coast, southwest, midwest but you'd probably greatly reduce the number that could attend from Canada and just about everybody east of the Mississippi. You'd still get a huge turnout because there are a LOT of Camaro enthusiasts in the west.

Heartland would probably guarantee the best mix of all regions being able to attend including Canada and the home team from Chevy.

Firebird would be most likely a 1 day drive for most attending; Heartland would be a 1-2 day drive for most. So adding to the 4 days from Meet & Greet to Sunday Wrap-up, Firebird would require people take maybe an extra day for driving home but probably most would be able to drive there on Thursday, and be home by Sunday night which is not bad. Heartland is going to add a minimum of 2 days of solid driving and for those coming from the coasts it would add 4 days. But I think we'd have the greatest number of people and the greatest mix from everywhere.

The final thing to consider is the costs; facility costs as well as hotel rates for either Firebird or Heartland. Vegas is expensive; period.

I'm going to whichever location is chosen but it would be nice to be able to meet the east coasters which I know a lot more would be at Heartland than Firebird.
I just have to say, i don't think you have a clue what you are talking about. Vegas is not any more expensive then anywhere else, unless you want it to be. I just looked up hotel prices in phoenix. average price for a 3 star embassy suites right now is $135nightly and a doubletree for $111. Holliday inn at topeka right now is going for $95-110 a night. Las Vegas has a lot of expensive places to stay, yes. But they also have great rates if you know where to look. For instance, i remember someone saying people would be bringings their kids, so Circus Circus. Average per night right now is $52 on hotel.com. Excalibur hotel/cason is $66 per night. Sahara $58. Stratosphere $76/night. Luxor $95. So please, don't blow off a location because you "Know" it's expensive.

Well the last time I stayed in Vegas 2 years ago it was $160 a night at any of the "name" hotels and the food was expensive too. Lunch buffets were starting at $15 per person and at the Paris it was $26. Maybe they've changed since then but when I said it was expensive it was because that's what I saw when I stayed there. I also don't like the driving or parking in Vegas but that's just me.
