I hear you. It's such a bummer when you have to be concerned about your car having issues. But I'm really glad to hear that your car is not overheating.

Hopefully, soon you will have a handle on this error message issue.

I had the same problem with my Grand am(non supercharged) Replaced the t-stat and coolant temp sensor and everything is peachy. The wierd thing about it is that it was very sporatic. Some days it would turn the gauge off and kick the fans on and some days it would run just fine. Could be totally unrelated to the camaro however.

I'd probably start by removing those huge aluminum side covers on that kit. Those things have got to be horrible for heat soak and trapping heat above the engine and blower. They look cool, but do just the opposite of cool.

Temps shoot up when you floor it, I wonder if you have air trapped in the cylinder heads or something weird like that.

I don't have the side covers installed. I put on the basic kit w/o them so thats not a problem. I drove to the shop this afternoon thinking I would trip the code again, but despite my repeated attempts (WOT acceleration) it would not happen. Wierd since it did it three times for me the other day. Regardless, they plugged it in and made a slight change to the tune. The guy left for the day before I could get the details as to what he changed. I'll try calling him later since I'd like to share whatever the problem was with you all. Anyway I hope its fixed.

Just another experience...

Eveytime I load a new file to the car (HPT) that message shows up.

First time happened in the morning, the car was not even been started in 10 hours so it was not hot at all...

So maybe tune is triggering it...

Are you talking about the Edelbrock tune?
I really hope that it's tune related (since Im getting a custom tune) and not something else.

Hi guys,
my tuner (HiTech Motorsports) told me this in regards to the heat related code I was getting;

"we looked up the ford calibration for the temp sensor and changed the gm calibration to match the ford calibration"

The temp sensor they are referring to is the Ford one that comes on the Edelbrock unit.

I'm sure you can call them directly if you need more detail on this. 866-912-9088.
