Have you even ordered the car yet? Detroit must set their prices first before anyone else can. Accordingly, our prices can only be set after proper analysis by GM of Canada on Canadian market conditions. Obviously they believe the Camaro will sell well up here with the prices they have set.

Your dealership will not have the pricing available until next week and the cars will not be accepted by the factory for at least another month so I don't quite understand your rush.

Gm has an add in todays paper here for convertible G6 at 7.79% and thats for a 2008 model not even a 2009

So the last missing part of the puzzle for me is Red Jewel Tint in Canada .

2LT + RS + Sunroof + 20" Polished = $35,525 + 1400 DEL +100 excise tax = 37,025

Really ...BE HONEST will the painted wheels actually stand up better to our winter roads than the polished, say over 4 years?

Trick question because those wheels should never see winter roads

Are you saying our Canadian orders are mingled with the USA preorders or our 100 go in after their 7700?

Maybe not YOUR winter's but I live in a desert ....we get minimal snow out here. Remember they golf all year round in Surrey and Victoria!

Maybe I Should get the polished for summer and find some take offs on Ebay for foul weather?

Thanks. Yes, I agree and now I have a tough decision to make as my pre-order was the 1st at my dealership and they are to be alotted 1 SS... which would be mine but the pricing may have bumped it out of my range.

C'mon lotto 649 :-)

Not at all. Ours will go in at the same time. Whoever can get to their dealer first to get him to do the factory submission before anyone else on the factory acceptance date (somewhere around x-mas) and provided your dealer has set your priority to 1, you might get one of the first cars built.

Having said that, it's the factories discretion to determine which cars get built first. They have a duty to be as efficient as possible and depending on the orders, they may want to do batch runs. Not necessarily all one color because that has zero impact at Oshawa but more importantly, model types.

Let's assume that the first day official build day is February 28th, they may decide that they will build nothing but 2SS cars in the first 2 weeks and so on. If they do that and you've ordered a 2LT, you might get delivery at a much later date.

Another consideration is that GM may choose to build/deliver all the cars heading to the big cities first. Why? Because someone driving down the freeways in LA will do more for marketing the car then someone in St. Thomas, Ontario.

Bottom line is to stay tuned to Camaro5.com to find out when the official factory order date is and then get call your sales guy and tell him to meet you at the dealership 30 minutes before the start time and get ready to press <ENTER> on the keyboard. It's just like sniping on Ebay! That's as much as you can do and the rest is in the hands of the factory/GM.

2 points I'd like to make:

1. The reason it is being discounted is because that model is about to reach the end of it's lifecycle. Please compare a 2010 Camaro to a 2010 Mustang. There are a few new pics on this website for you to look at.

2. Have you actually seen a V6 Mustang with a 28K starting MSRP? It looks barebones and anyone driving one looks like they can't afford anything better. At least a Camaro has plenty of toys in it for 30K. Nothing worse out there than a convertible with no options.

I can't believe ALL the comparisons being made with the Mustang on this so-called "Camaro5 forum". If you guys really think that the Mustang is a better car than stop your whinning and go buy it...and leave us TRUE fans of the General to our love of Camaros, Vettes, etc.

Come on Frank - buyers have the right to compare. I think once they do, they will realize the value of the 2010 Camaro.

I don't have a problem with people comparing, but, to me, it seems like its getting a little out of hand. When people talk like that, it shows the lack of loyalty towards a product, and the uncertainty of someone who may threaten to go to the "dark side"...just my opinion. TO EACH IS OWN, I GUESS, and without rant there would be no competition

I've been a LOYAL supporter of the General, all my life (specifically a Bowtie Guy). Some of my family & friends, who also drove general motors back in the day, have now defected to buying other brand names (specifically imports). Now they critsize me for staying with a company that has an unstable future...I call them hipicritical.
