Fuel Injection cleaning

So I was looking around some Two Guys Garage videos and came across this one mentioning a good 3M fuel injection cleaning system which sparked a few questions.

Do we even need to worry about cleaning the fuel injection?

Where is the spot on our car to hook up that hose to from that first can in the video (when the dude put the clip on the throttle thing)

When should we worry about cleaning our fuel injectors?

Just gathering materials for future maintenance

After looking up some info on SIDI, do we even need to worry about fuel injection? Fuel gets squirted directly into the cylinder and doesn't go through the intake valve

Should only need to clean the injectors if they get dirty and cause a rough running condition. So for many vehicles they may never need to be cleaned. All depends on the gas quality. I've seen cars 1 yr old or less running real rough, and smooth right out after an injector cleaning. I've also owned many vehicles for many years and never once needed an injector cleaning. I stick with name brand gas.

My dad was having injector clogging problems repeatedly with a Caddy a few years back. His Caddy dealer cleaned them twice. Then I asked him where he get's his gas? Krogers Grocery Store, because he has a discount card from Krogers. I convinced him to switch to the name brands... Mobil, Shell.... and he's never had a problem since.

Bottom line is don't buy your gas at the same place as your groceries and you'll probably be fine. The better brands have that little bit of cleaning detergent that keeps the injectors clean.
