Hey there 68RS I think the easiest car wash to get to out of gas alley is right between the RV dealers, and accross from the westener??
Although as mentioned earlier with the costco parking lot is under heavy construction so there might not be alot of room to move around.
Are we (the camaro5 crew) going to be part of the show and shine or will this just be a meeting point to get everyone together then head out?
Is there a set time that we will be heading out, and if people miss that time can you please provide a projected time for how long we will be stopped at the rocky mtn house BP's so people can catch up.

If we are leaving Red Deer around 10:30 - 11:00 that will put us in RMH for right around noon. The last couple of times I have gone out that way the RCMP have been out in full force, just a heads up on that.

Weather still looking good so far

sorry Guys I won't be making it I basically just did the tour over the weekend. I will be at a business meeting in Vancouver on sunday and so I cannot come out. wish I could. the roads are in great shape. as for going throught the park there is still a bit of snow out there but nothing on the road as someone else posted.

I was also wondering if the guy I was "enjoying the roads with" is a member on here. he was driving a blacked out 2SS RS with custom red stripes. sounded like he had alot more than stock. I could not touch him when he really wanted to go. I was driving a 75 corvette so I know I was running form a different era but I just wanted to say thanks for the experience. I also passed about 20 different cars on my trip to the okanagan today. I love this car.

Car Washes and Answers

Silver Ice Man is correct. The closest Car Wash is by the RV dealerships at 49th Ave and 18th Street.

I've been in contact with the Costco people and construction is slated to be complete on Tuesday of this week, so we should be good to go. We are slated to be part of the Show and Shine but is not a requiremnet. I will be there about 9:00am, as we are helping the club with setting up. If it gets too crouded we can get out of there early.

My plan was to leave the Costco parking lot at 11:00am sharp.

I anticipate we should be in Rocky about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I was in Rocky Muntain House on the weekend and there is lots of room in front of BP's for parking 20+ Camaros.

As for RCMP, I take no responsibility for that. Speed limits are there for your safety and mine. Remember the important thing is that we all arrive safely.

Look forward to meeting everyone on Saturday.

You are the man 68RS, we are good to go as long as the weather holds.
I may still show up even if it rains.
This is going to be great.

it doesn't look like I will be able to make it. I will likely be heading to edmonton on saturday for the day, but I won't be able to make it before you all head out. but next time there is a more local event, maybe something a bit later in the day around noon or so, and I would be able to make it i'm sure.

have fun and I will see you all around at some point.

Looks like rain all week then sunny and 20 on the 12th. Definately need some wax on the front end and rainex on the windshield to spray those bugs off in Red deer.

Ok.. ok..

I was getting something confused.
If we're not projected to arrive into Red Deer until 10 - 10:30, and leaving again at 11, we won't have time for the show 'n shine.

So, to the Edmonton cruisers:
See you all at IKEA at 8am!
We'll be there rain or shine as it's gonna be a "Banff getaway" for us anyway.
I don't have a 2-way so I'll snag someones phone number to keep in touch.

Question:
Is the COSTCO near Gas Alley or a gas station?
How does everyone want to do it?
Gas up first and then head to COSTCO?

The Costco is right in Gas alley, there are a lot of gas stations all around the area.
To get into the Gasoline alley, as you are going south (for the Edmonton Guys) past the 19th Street over pass, follow highway 2 around the bend stay right, you then see the "Turple Bros" honda dealer (on the right or West side of the road), from there the Costco is directly behind it.
Once you are in the area it is very easy to find.
Looking forward to see everyone from the Edmonton cruise last year
IF YOU OVER SHOOT IT, don't panic about a KM down the highway is a 2nd over pass that you can take and just double back down the service road.
See you all then.

Oh and a heads up to all the Husky in gas alley does have the 94 octane fuel for those that are running it, however the Sask Xing will only have 91 octane premium.

Hey 68 RS,
other than taking orders from everyone for the BP's in RMH I think you have done a heck of a great job, and I guess if you will bring your camaro out in the rain so will I.
So far looks like it will be sunny though.
