Thanks for trying to help this along! Hubby and I have been wanting to put together an F-Body event at Mid-Ohio for quite some time now. We go to Mid-Ohio quite often and see the Corvette Corrals for various events and thought it would be fun to do the same for Camaros (and Firebirds, too). The return of Camaro to competition in the Grand-Am Series seemed like a perfect time! We've invited members of the NEOCC and have posted this on numerous other websites, hoping we could get a good turnout and build on this and make it bigger every year. So far, we're looking at about 20-30 cars, but there's still plenty of time - hopefully we can get more!

Keep learning, then use one of their unique features as a deciding factor. The maggies do look awesome, especially in those see-thru hoods! If you want something different check out the Kenne Bell units, more of a retro look. Jr's right, the Procharger is nice. Saw one installed down at Craig's shop. It had a really nice fit and didn't alter the look of the engine. And they put out huge numbers. (if you don't mind the whine) The new Edelbrock system installs easily and doesn't use as much boost, protecting your engine. As far as the turbo, keep in mind you may have to ditch your brand new headers or exhaust for one of those. But I may be wrong, there's all kinds of turbo systems out there. If I remember, Craig at Cincy gave you a quote for an Edelbrock SC a while back and you thought it was expensive at that time. You might check that out again. These guys got 429 RWHP on an automatic w/mods and tune: Edelbrock That's just over 500 fwhp ![]() Or, this may be your solution: Both.......TT into a TVS

We certainly appreciate her and all clients! I believe she has made great modifications to her car, and we have been blessed to help! Not to toot our own horn to loudly but we also have one of the best GM tuners in the Midwest, and experienced technicians in the country
. (Oh and I work here )As for the supercharger and turbo debate, this is again political but the facts are facts. Turbo systems use exhaust gas flow and thermodynamic efficiency to produce power, they do have a small amount of spool time, however if engineered right (which 95% of people have not done their math to properly size the turbo) turbo systems will produce more power and create less stress on the motor, and it is easy to plumb the exhaust gas away from the engine so there is little to no back pressure. Belt driven supercharger systems have their place as well, whether you talk about a magnacharger which is a positive displacement roots style blower, or a procharger, a centrifugal style blower. Now I am not really going to type up all the pros and cons here because I prefer not to debate them top much in depth on the forum due to a lot of misconceptions, however each style of supercharger system has its place for a defined purpose. I think for her the magnacharer will be the simplest and easiest solution which will be the easiest to maintain and preform a good driving experience with excellent throttle response and torque for light to light acceleration. For fun (apples to apples), I had two C5 Z06's in at the end of last week, both we have serviced start to finish, One client has a vortech kit (centrifugal kit) with kooks long tubes, and the other has a kenne bell kit (roots blower) and kooks long tubes. Tell me which one is which, and who would win in a drag race (I am sure this will stir up some fun )![]() Regards |
