first of all.....what does the type of engine have to do with the transmission?

secondly... apparently you haven't read any of my posts in the Auto vs Manual threads have you.

lol

my 94 Z28 was an A4, reverse manual valve body, transbrake, and ran 11's.

however... Christine has an M3 out of a '65 chevy pickup...and its not going anywhere

I like my "tow, slow, and go" gearing lmao.

trust me, I know what I'm doing with this car.

I like surprising people. same way I loved stomping LS1 guys with my LT1.
I had that way of thinking for years until I got my first big block 572. Don't kid yourself. What ever you can do to a small block doing the same with a big block pays much higher dividends.
If you where correct in your line of thinking Prostock, funny car , and top fuel would all be running small blocks.

except that prostock, funny car, and top fuel arent suitable/legal for the street

I've built big blocks and they are nice for what they are.

but, for what I'm doing, its too much weight on the front end.

I dont give two craps about having the most horsepower out there.

not to mention, if I really wanted to go with big cubes, I'd just build an LSX block and spank sbc and bbc alike.

but thats not where this project is heading

but, if you are so adamant about me putting a big block in my car, feel free to drop a turn-key one off at my house and I'll gladly put it in.

Black Camaro looks good. Needs to lose the rear window louvers and sidepipes, IMO.
