Is this normal? Just curious, thanks for any input.

The popping sounds absolutely fantastic on our 2SS M6 with the Corsa cat back exhaust, would not have it any other way.

Next Summer????

You do realize that most people are getting it done a local muffler shops for around $100 - $150. It will completely change the sound of your car.

I've heard it can be tuned out but I also heard you'll loose 1-2 mpg. It's supposed to be something GM did to improve mpg.

I've just learned to either push in the clutch or give it just a little gas if I don't want to hear it.

This came from the other decel popping thread....

Quote:
Thats DFCO, you can disable it by tune...

Again...you can learn to control it buy pushing in the clutch just as you start to hear it or on decel and/or give it just a little gas.

I have full 1 7/8" long tubes with 3" cats and 3" flowmaster catback with xpipe and a full cam setup and I have almost no decel popping. its a flawless setup.. all of my other systems on this car popped like crazy, "muffler delete" Flowmaster Catback with stock manifolds and cats, popped like crazy, Doug thorley offroad longtubes and flowmaster catback popped terribly, adm offroad downpipes and stock manifolds with flowmaster catback was the worst in popping.

But this new setup is SEXY!!!!!! Plenty loud, great tone and no embarrassing yourself infront of the sexy ladies.. trust me, they dont know decel pop is suposed to sound good, they think its redneck.
