Umm, I just purchased this particular Motor Trend article a few days ago. So, I don't think it was written months ago. If it was, then I believe it was just released in the most recent Motor Trend issue.

Btw, I think the 2010 Mustang looks better than the 2011.

How does the 2010 look better then the 2011, they didn't change any exterior looks on it. WOW, thats the worst comment I've heard.

My mistake. It was strange because when I saw the 2011 Mustang yesterday, I didn't even see the 5.0 emblem yet and I still knew it was the 2011.

I think the writer for the MT article was highly opinionated to say the least. He commented on the 'cartoonish' looks of the Camaro and the unacceptable site lines due to pillar blocking, etc. I think all 3 cars are great but no doubt the Camaro is a much better looking car than the Mustang. That's my opinion and notice how I express it without belittling the Mustang. So to see the jerk belittling the Camaro, well as soon as I read that I realize I'm reading something put together by a non-credible person and my respect for the magazine drops significantly.

He also commented that the Camaro was hot last year but has cooled considerable. But the Camaro beat the Mustang in sales in 11 of the past 12 months. Last month it was close but also true that Mustang upped the ante on their incentives to clear out the cars. So how the hell do you say the Camaro has cooled?

Hey, I would appreciate a post like that on a blog. But don't appreciate that when such pure opinionated statements are positioned as fact in a supposedly objective article measuring performance. Really a lot of BS.

Dudes:

There is a reason why the Camaro has won awards for the best looking car or car design......because it has way better appeal to the average person who isn't an enthusiast. Motortrend lost like 70 percent of the people that were reading the article when they said the Camaro was getting old looking or too cartoonish....The GTs aren't going to be winning any beauty pagents soon.....only homers are going to say that...The Shelby 500 gt is another story.

But, if you want performance for the price.....the GT > 500gt

Thats no joke...I've got the book.....It couldn't even win on the track...

Its like well....er...the Porsche didn't win any real categories, but we fixed the weighting just right....and yes...fuel economy and interior we think is better.....

Regardless of that nonsense, for the price, they had Porsche last.

Hmmmm.......not the article I read but maybe there was another comparison I don't know about in Motortrend.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ds_winner.html

ZR1 vs. 599 vs. GTR vs. GT2
ZR1 took first in this comparison.

There was no other comparison, they are just spewing nonsense

OT, It is funny to see though that the writers complained about the looks of the camaro, when they loved it a year ago. I could understand about the raving of the mustang's performance, but the looks opinion should not change, considering the looks of the mustang didn't change.

There was another comparison, I was just wrong on the magazine. My bad Motor Trend. I still think you suck sometimes though. lol. Ok I am really bad at posting links but if you do a search for Road and Track culture clash they pit the GTR vs the ZR1 vs the 911 turbo. The ZR1 won, tied, or lost to the GTR in every performance test and the 911 did not win a single performance test yet it got top honors because of "subjective" points. I mean come on. Those subjective points are just glorified opinions. Let the test data facts speak for them selfs. It should have been ZR1 on top followed by GTR with the 911 rounding out 3rd.

people, mags and critics loved the looks of the PT Cruiser when it came out as well, not as much after.......

after a while people start seeing it for a second and third time and it doesnt have the same visual impact. This is why things that are in style and look cool now, just doesnt have the staying power. Kinda like the 80's early 90's corvettes with the body kits. Im sure people thought they were badass back then but definately not now. The Camaros styling is contemporary and fashionable for the times (its pretty much been that way since the 3rd gen), the mustangs tend to be more conservative but lean more towards classic (though thats not the case with every single model).

well if you go strictly by the numbers then the ZR1 won then didnt it!?!?!?! you dont need a magazine telling you that when the numbers show who won. Anybody who wants to buy the car based strictly on the numbers will see that.

lets just say the 5.0 Mustang wins every perfomance test vs the 2010 Camaro, would you then choose the Mustang as the better car?? Im pretty sure YOU wouldnt. You would probably pick the Camaro because it has that lil something else you prefer and even though it doesnt perform quite as well as the 5.0, it does it more than well enough. That was just semi-hypothetical.

Old...

But really MotorTrend, Car&Driver, and all the other big names are so biased in their reviews that it's hard to even watch their videos and read their reviews.

I bet if you put a new MK6 in the same review about muscle cars...it would win because "it's so comfortable and composed and has the interior of an Audi."...blah blah blah magazine company reviews FTL.
