Lowering Springs

Anyone bought any and if so did you do the install yourself?

Trying to find out how easy they are to install - looking at Eibach or Pfadt - any other decent ones out there?

Pretty easy. you dont even need a spring compressor. Ill see if I can find the instructions I found online. You will have to do an alignment afterwards so Ide suggest getting everything your going to get other than sway bars all at once so you dont have to keep going back for alignments. Ive had to do 2 already. EDit: OK here it is and you dont need deep well sockets either. http://www.planetlsx.com/tech/How_To...010_Camaro/131 If ya dont have some of the larger sockets, autozone has them cheap.

I bought the Eibach Pro-plus kit and had a shop do the install. I love the handling and the stance.

You will find that the install is very easy to do on all available lowering springs and sway bars. Just make sure you have a quality shop with the 2010 Camaro specs do the alignment.

the only problem i had was getting the passenger side rear lower control arm to line back up into it's hole with the brake assembly after installing the spring assembly.

the other side was a piece of cake, and so was the front!

Now that sounds like a good price for both including allignment. Wonder if its cheaper just for springs and not sways?

Thanks for the info

I installed the Pfadt springs back in January, I love the look. I don't really drive too aggressively, so I can't tell the difference in cornering/etc.

The install wasn't too hard, I did it on jackstands in my garage. It would have been nice to have had an extra set of hands to help out.
If you get rattling after the install, find out what corner it's on and tighten (really crank) the sway bar endlinks.

I called for install prices, and a couple of shops around me wanted $300. That's why I did it myself. I took it to a tire shop for alignment after putting a few hundred miles on the lowered car -- $70.

I bought the kit from Auto Anything. I forgot how much it was after taxes and what not. They should still have them available on their website.
