You are absolutely right! What GM order code do I choose for my Camaro that will get me those option? What? GM does not offer a similar performance package for the V6 Camaro? That sucks.

The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter what would happen if GM did offer a similar package, because they don't. It's like saying what kind of comments would the Mustang get if it had an IRS under it. Pointless.
I drove both cars and I chose the Camaro, I had nothing against the Ford, I love Ford and a lot of their cars, my dad is getting a Taurus and my sister has a Fusion! The reason I mentioned the live axle issue is because they didn't stop whining about it in all their previous reviews, the V6 as well as the V8. They kept pointing out to the live rear axle issue in every review, not only Motor Trend and Road and Track but all reviewers even the NY Times! My point is is that they suddenly stopped talking about it now that these are refreshed products!

GM does not offer one but with 2K i can make a V6 Camaro similar or even better a V6 Mustang. The point is that I was shopping for the stang and I built a 2011 at the dealer to order and it turned out to be a 34K car without the glass roof and I added the performance package, the camaro i ordered is a fully loaded v6 for 31k !

i can see where your point on the IRS vs Solid axle comes from...ive seen several articles where they bash solid axle cars and praise IRS cars so it would be odd for that particular subject to not have arisen.

over 30k for a V6 car? that seems high to me...but i havent really gone out and looked at what theyre stickering nowadays. i just cant see buying a V6 Camaro OR Mustang for north of 30k

i was looking at the V6 Premium with the Pony Package, and convenience package, which adds the heated seats (they're optional even on the Premium model) and few other options and it went up to 34K!

they most likely realized that they were bashing the solid axle needlessly and that it actually gets the job done just as well as an IRS in this car segment.

Winner, winner, chicken-dinner!

In most, if not all, of the reviews prior to this latest one, all of them went into their comparisons expecting the IRS on the Camaro to provide better ride quality and handling than the SRA on the Mustang but they discovered that was not the case. Why make something an issue when it clearly is not, except in the minds of a small minority of enthusiasts or brand-loyal fanboys.

Arguing that the IRS in the Camaro provides better handling/ride quality than the SRA in the Mustang is like saying that Heinz ketchup tastes better than Hunt's ketchup on your hamburger. 99.9% of people wouldn't know the diffrence unless someone told them what was used on their sandwich.

i agree. And talking down on the Mustangs rear axle and saying its "archaic" and doesnt belong, is like talking down on an engine just because it uses pushrods......

The 5.0L engine is great. Don't tell me that live axle is better than my IRS. I doubt that GM would get the same sort of support out of the same restrained effort.
You do relize the Mustang has a better interior right? I have a nav system, heated seats, voice activation and it just looks plain and simple better. That was a seller to me and the looks are no doubt debatable but I think they could of did a better design in the interoir of the camaro. That radio thing in the center bottom dash is just plain ugly and they shouldnt have made it out of hard plastic and all rounded for the interior

You don't have heated seats if you own a 2010GT500. At least not from the factory.
