your flowmaster exhaust necks down to 2.5inches where it goes into the factory coupler.. same with these pipes it will work the same. Our exhaust isnt a true 3" system because of the neckdown at the connection point so 2.5" downpipes FTW!

DO the Stock L99 mid pipes have 2 O2 sensors on each side as well?

By chance....anyone doing a Before/After dyno?

I'm curious to see what these would do compared to LT headers with and without a tune.

If I could pick up 30 - 35 rwhp with a tune I might be inclined to do this over adding LTs.

The factory cats have a nice flex section just after the flange. That sure makes installation easy, so I don't know about a fixed section. It would be nice if they had that flex section!

For some reason, the flex section is only used on the stock midpipes for the L99 motor. The stock LS3 midpipe is fixed with no flex section.

Will these work with long tubes?? Looks like the long tubes end up taking out the cats???

Interested too... seriously doubt shorties and HF Cats w/ tune would get anywhere close to 30 - 35 bhp...

No... you would get a different midpipe (shorter) w/ HF cats for LTs

No. They will work with aftermarket shorties or the the stock exhaust manifolds.

I just called JBA and I got the REAL INFO

I have GOOD NEWS, I spoke to the actual R&D guy at JBA that orders the cats and tested this product.
I had gotten the incorrect info before from a salesman.

THE JBA CAT PIPES ARE IN FACT 200 CELL CATS...
THEY WILL ALSO FIT A L99

Wanna guess which companies catted midpipes I'm buying now

Thanks T2S and 4 DW! By the Way nice ride love the rims T2S! Wonder how much louder the setup will be because this will remove the resonators.

These shouldn't have anything to do with the resonators. The resonators will be on the cat-back side of the exhaust.

Hicompression.....it would be great if you could get a pic of the factory mid-pipes right next to the JBA setup. That way people will see what is being replaced.

Will someone explain cell count? is that restriction? 200 is less restrictive as 400?

It's cell count per inch. 200 (larger cells = less cells per inch) are more free flowing than 400 cells (smaller cells = more cells per inch).

I thought from looking at the cats that the cells were too big to be a 400 cell converter.

And...I'm gonna guess that you're going to go with the JBA's now?
