Ford has a new Mustang drift car, Dodge has a Challenger drift car coming, so is Chevy going to join the battle on the "Drift Front" and have a Camaro drift car? What do you think?

I don't know what it takes to make/produce a good drifting car, but if it is expensive and/or time consuming I hope they significantly delay it since they have far more things to be concerned with right now than how well their cars can drift.

Its advertising. there is a market that would look at the camaro in a much better light if they did, what is 50k dollars to work on a drift car when you are a 1billion dollars per month company.

there will be a camaro drift car, but i dont know if it will be sponsored by gm beyong maybe giving them cars. Its not a very expensive proposition and would be very cool to see.

Isn't there a 69 Camaro sponsored by Falken? There's a GTO and a Solstice too, so Camaro would fit in.

Falken tire will probably make a drift Camaro for a number of reasons... One being Chevrolet will probably give them a car because its free advertising...

Kids see the Camaro has huge drifting potential and bam they go out test drive it love it and buy it.

The mustang just has a little suspension work to get it to have more steering movement, right (then a cage and safety features)? They'll probably do the same to the Camaro..

Yeah there probably will be. I always hoped there would be a Z06 drift for Formula 0 but it never happened.

It will probably be picked up by Millen racing. They are using the Solstice, but with its production life ending, they'll update for 2010 or 2011.

Andyrew, Falken won't take the GM brand. the branding of these cars is just as important as in GT racing. So with Falken currently using the Mustang and Nissan. they won't pick up GM.

never commented on coolness, just thought I'd through it out there as an intro to what drift racing is. Personally, I'd rather watch sprint cars: fastest powerslider wins the race.
