Actually, another thing that bugs me is when my parents tell me they're gonna come UP and see me. Or tell me to come DOWN and see them. They live in Seattle and I live in Alabama. So it should be me going UP to see them, or them coming DOWN to see me. Possibly come over would work.

But If you live in Houston then I'd have to come OVER to see you.

If someone lives in Miami, they can't come down to my house, they'd have to come UP to my house.

Technically its not up or down. If you were to go up from your house you would hit outerspace, and if you were to go down you'd hit the core or go to China/outerspace.

Also, due to the curvature of the earth all infinite possible directions work to get from one place to another. Some just take longer than usual.

I'm a north and south kinda person. And the universe revolves around the USA.

But here's one that drives me NUTS.

Bonnie is from Louisiana and they have some ..........well.......... gramaticaly challenged habits.

Bring and Take.

If Bonnie has something in her hand, and my son is standing next to her, and I'm out in the garage, she will hand it to him and say BRING this to you father.

HOW CAN HE BRING IT ANYWHERE, IT'S ALREADY THERE............

If you have something in your hand, you can't BRING it to yourself......

Can we add "murdered out" to this as well. When people use that term to describe a blacked out car/truck it makes me cringe. I think they think they sound cool saying it.

I honestly haven't heard any of these terms, s'pose I'm out of the loop (sometimes it pays off). Well the Lousianna stuff I've heard... worked in SC and with a guy from there. But accents are accents... not someone trying to be cool.

Anyway, the only people I talk about cars with, are you folk. And for the most part you hold up your end of the conversation quite well. Although I did mention how the internet enlarges an individual's scrotum , and thus we all act a fool from time to time. Hence the over use of
