Good question. For me it's not worth it. I'd have to get a laptop or notebook to do the data logging plus the cost of the tune itself, I'd be looking at around $900 -1000 bucks for the whole deal (including the cost of the notebook)

I'm happy with my performance with the CAI, shorties and axle back for now.

Reserve the right to change my mind later.

Its a good option to look at panda, but I waited until my exhaust and cai were completed before I got a tune, probably due to the airaid v1 issue I was having. Now that I have the ARH LTs it is a must have for me because I like the fact I have my stock tune plus a 87 and 93 octane tune that I switch back and forth with. All of this is stored on my laptop. Takes about 15-20minutes to update both the ECM/TCM especially with an all new tune.

Im looking also into getting this tune once i get my BBK long headers. The OBDII cable isnt much online and how much data logging you have to do to get a good tune?

here's a question, has anyone with a manual transmission on a V6 gotten the trifecta tune yet?

I too was looking at getting a tune for my V6 manual LS. but after reading some of the tuning threads I am wondering if it is worth it. I have no mods and don't plan on any till the three year warranty is up.

Just ordered mine, will let you know. Needed one to get rid of the damn cell, have solo HFC, mrt v2 exhaust abnd airraid v2. Once installed I will get it dyno'd. Hoping for 270 to 280 at the wheels. Realistic??

Think the 270 is realistic with a manual...maybe a little less..

well i just installed the tune, and while I did send an email to vince I figured I ask a few questions knowing I may get a response quicker so here goes

Keep in mind I have a manual trans, but am i imagining that car seems to run smoother, pulling with a more consistant line as well as making my exhaust seem a bit quieter? I only drive the car once a week but after only a 15 minute drive that seemed to be my first impression. it was local driving no highway but that was how it seemed

second since I was having a few cell issues( lean and Rich) , did the tune eliminate that or do I need to datalog a few runs, send to Vince for tweaking.

I have the solo HFC/air raid V2 and MRT V2

Install was simply. I was actaully scared to even try this at first . So far I like the product.

Thanks

Actually the car may not be running lean or rich... the CEL is most likely due to the HFC confusing the rear O2s, which are only there to monitor things, not adjust... so basically you can have Vince turn those off so you don't get a CEL... The reason you don't have them now is because when you load a tune it clear the CEL and resets things... i imagine your CEL will come back on until Vince takes car of the rear O2s..

Not sure about the sound, but as far as smoothness you had the same experience I did. There seemed to be some "dead" spots accelerating with the stock tune after the mods. That all went away after the tune.

It wouldn't hurt to do a few logs and send them back to Vince and make sure it all looks okay. Mine ran a bit rich after tuning for the LTs and he fixed that. Most likely you are fine, but it never hurts to have him check it out.
