What kind of rim cleaner should I get? I bought one for "all factory coated rims" but then decided to hold off using it. I have the RS, so painted aluminum rims.

![]() Most cars I detail do not need any thing stronger than car wash. When they do, I've used several brands such as Mothers, Eagle One, and Meguires, making sure that they read "clear coat safe". Its also a very good idea to apply a good coat of wax/polish to your rims to prevent any damage from brake dust, etc., which also eases cleaning in the future and adds protection. Ed |

What is the best way to get the light "scratches" out of the screen of the radio.
You can only see them when sunlight is hitting it just right. kind of like swirl marks.

I discovered tiny little water spots in the clear coat. You can only see them when the sun is directly shining on the surface of the car. I have only washed the car twice and dried immediately. When brand new I clay barred the whole thing and waxed it. I don't know where these came from, but waxing does not get them out. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Moose, I recently had my windshield replaced and noticed that there is some black adhesive/caulk type stuff on some of the painted surfaces of my car. Wondering if you know of a good way to remove this without damaging the paint job. Thanks a million!

I would spray the product on the rag, and test a small area to see that it removes the adhesive/caulk successfully. 'Stoners' should work just fine. I'd suggest you spraying the product on the rag and wiping away the "mess" versus spraying it directly on the car. ![]() Ed |

Claying question
Can I clay my car this evening and then drtive to work and do the Adams SHR and so on the next day while I'm in a garage? I should not have to clay the next morning hopefully?
Should I wash it the next day before I start with the Adams PC or can I just hit it with the waterless wash or detail spray and then start the PC process? Thanks |

Ed,
My wife and I did a little shopping last weekend and both came home with 2SS/RS's. I ran across this thread earlier in the week and just wanted to say thanks. Every detailing question I've had has been answered already somewhere along the way. From the best wash and wax to use (Zaino apparently) to getting in to the RS wheels to get the inside clean to wax on the stripes. Great info. Thank you! |

![]() During driving you're going to pick up debris, and seeing as the car will be parked while you're at work, even contaminants in the air could cause issues if you just use the spray detailer. I only use spray detailer after a short ride, going to a show. ![]() SO go ahead and clay, then wash, ending with polish. Ed |
