Junkman...New paint and Adams
Hey Junkman I have base coat clear coat paint that is a day or so old. Came back from the shop with swirls and scratches from their sanding and buffing. How long before I can use the Adams shr/fp pc system on it?

You can polish it now... Just don't wax or seal the paint and you'll be in good shape. Just use detail spray for the time being, it doesn't have an protective properties.
They color sanded and buffed it; why cant you? Wait 60-90 days before waxing / sealing it. Ask your painter. Add: Most aftermarket clear coats are pretty soft, I would start with a white pad & FMP.

They just didnt polish it out enough. Just needs some more work with swirl mark remover it sounds like. Unless there are sand scratches, in which case it needs more buffing. You have every right to take it back and have them fix it. Thats what you paid for.

I have the exact same issue on RR quarter panel where my body shop repaired a chip. I'm taking it back to have them fix it. Again.

Personally, I wouldn't touch it with anything for at least 30 days. I would advise you to make them fix it but if they do a crappy job at first, they will probably do another crappy job. Since you know nothing about painting a car, the more you mess with it the more chances you will screw it up. The swirls are not going to do any damage or multiply if you don't wash the car incorrectly.
Leave it alone for 30 days before doing anything to it but washing. Then, DO NOT use any wax or sealant for another 60 days. After 90 days have passed, you can then do whatever you want to it. Your painter should have told you this. Messing with the paint job too early serves no purpose and can do more harm than good, no matter what you use.
