SWEEEET!!! Now I have to decide if I go w/ these or Solo's and then the Edlebrock x-pipe. I already have GMPP axle back and I'm very pleased with the sound when I get on it. Just worried about removing the stock L99 HUGE resonator and replacing it w/ the Edelbrock. I'm hoping it doesn't get too loud.

With a muffler delete, yes it's too loud IMHO.

Maybe I'll have to consider a Magnaflow resonated x-pipe then. LOL. Only thing is, I'll have to "add pipe" because it won't be nearly long enough to cover the gap created from cutting out that HUGE L99 resonator. Decisions, decisions. LOL

Well it looks like I might weld in a couple of resonators right after the X-PIPE :O)

I had the Cherry Bomb "extreme" axle back on my car. It sucked. Sounded like a 4 cylinder with a fart can at idle. Drone was pretty bad too.

I love the quality of the Magnaflow "competition" axle back. I also love the 5 inch tips. I think I'll be keeping just the factory resonators as mufflers for now. The sound is starting to grow on me.

So u do have the LS3 resonators in the system, I thought u mightve had a x pipe..
If this is the case I might weld 2 12" resonators in my X and then just add the JBA's..

I believe this will sound PERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRFECT

Yes. I cut the stock mufflers off the stock cat-back and bolted on the Magnaflow muffler delete. Then I removed the stock factory catted midpipes and replaced them with the high flow JBA units. So...all I'm running is the factory LS3 resonators as mufflers.

The Plan

Well Hicompression, thanks to your posts on this subject I'm looking at getting the JBAs instead of the SOLOs. I won't be getting them until August timeframe though once I get back to the US. Originally I was going to go w/ the SOLO version and get the Edlebrock X-pipe but reading how loud this thing makes it I'm going to leave the stock L99 resonator in place. So I'm going to get the JBAs and with the money I'm saving in cost vs. the SOLOs and not getting the X-pipe I'm going to buy an SCT X3 handheld from Ted at Jannetty and have him render a custom tune for me! I currently have a Predator, but I can't get a tranny tune for the A6 with it so once I get the X3 the Pred will go up for sale along with the PC interface here on the forums. Can't wait to get these things put on and install a new tune and see what this beast can do. So many posts on this site talk about the A6 really waking up with a tranny tune!

Sounds like a good plan! I'm going to try and get some video of my setup to capture the beastly sounds this thing makes. Once I got over the initial shock of the decel pop (which is the only thing that really bothered me)...I must say, I am rather starting to enjoy the sound of this system.

Hands down, changing out the factory catted midpipe with a high flow unit will give you the biggest increase in sound in a 2010 V8 Camaro!
