The camaro I'm looking at now is a ls and they want 26000 something. That's with tags and taxes included. That's also no money down . And the payment would be 407 a month. Which is only a hundred more than I'm paying now. But idk what to do. I have my heart set on a ss

If u like to step on the gas and GO---the SS is the only way to GO!!!!

Has any body here bought the camaro they wanted even if they knew money would be tight for awhile? And had trouble on deciding on wether they wanted to do it or not?

My advice to you is if you think you are not financially ready to take it on then don't, wait until you are sure. With the state of our economy and the likelihood that fuel will be rising in the near future it would be prudent to hold off until you are positive.

No sense in causing yourself unnecessary stress, then it would be hard to enjoy the vehicle if you were constantly worrying about paying your bills.

PS= and get what you want the first time! A few summers ago I purchased a Honda VTX 1300C after debating whether or not to get the 1800, and took it back 3 months later and traded it in for the 1800, I should have gotten the bigger bike to begin with.

I lost about 900 beans, but if you get an LS or LT and then go back and get a SS you will lose a pretty good chunk of change.

I can afford it, I don't have much of a social life. I got a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan custom 900 I could get ride of. I lost interest with it already

Honestly Ted, I would say think long and hard before you make the purchase. I took delivery on 9/18/09 and I have had problem after problem. My car was put away at the end of November in storage and not brought out again until 4/1/10. With that being said, I should tell you that I have already had it in for service for a USB issue probably 4-5 times, today I will drop it off for the second service on the seat because the latch for the passenger seat is sticking and cant get it open ( They are now replacing the entire seat). I have had it in the shop 2x times for service Airbag and oh yeah my onstar is screwed up. I have gone to GM executive office and am being told that there will not be a fix for the USB till the middle of July. Not to mention GM Exec Office Rep that I am working with doesn't return calls and they just keep putting me off and patting me on the head. The only reason I upgraded from the 1 SS to the 2 SS was that stupid USB port. Honestly, I can say that I am totally beginning to regret my decision to purchase this car. While the USB problem was/is is a ROYAL PAIN, for me the safety issues are a deal breaker for me.

My husband still wants to keep the car and I am getting to the point that I would rather just get rid of it. I paid cash for that car, I think I should have just gotten a boob job and put the rest of the money in the bank.

I traded a 2010 Ford Fusion for my camaro, I loved the car but it had major transmission problems that Ford couldn't fix. First time in the shop they reprogrammed the trans computer, 2nd time they replaced the transmission, third time they slipped some additive in it and that lasted only a few days, forth time they told me it was in my head.

I called corporate a few times and as soon as I told them what my problem was they either hung up or made some lame excuse about their computers being down.

After extensive online research (from the beginning) I found that ford had a problem with all of their 6 speed auto transaxels. My problems started at a little over 1000 miles, the car had 7200 on it the day I traded it in. I thought I should have @ least 4-5 thousand in equity but since there were so many of them in the auctions from people getting rid of them I barely broke even.

Hang in there, I bet GM will get it fixed eventually.

And that other thing you thought you should have gotten instead of the car, shouldn't your hubby be purchasing that for you?

best of luck.

Do it!!!!! I was determined this time to drive everything I ever thought of owning & get my dream car (at least that I could reasonably afford). I did just that. Drove a lot of cars that had cool features. When I drove the Camaro I got this unbelievable "OMG I can't believe I am Driving this car" feeling. Each day when I got home from test driving my hubby would ask me how I liked each car then about the Camaro. He said it was clear I would regret it if I bought anything else 'cause I'd be wishing I had the Camaro. I bought it & have had a bad case of perma-grin ever since. My long drive to work is now a thrill ride instead of drudgery. Everyone rubbernecks to look at it. Just fun to drive. I can't imagine anyone not loving owning this car.
