a bone stock SHO vs a stock auto SS (keeping tire pressure constant) would be a decent race.

i think an LS3 Camaro would pull the SHO up top...but then again the SHO is gonna holeshot the shit outta it.

Where do people get the idea that the L99 cars are so much slower than LS3 cars? Its a couple tenths at most, not half a second+.

Judging by our own fast list I don't see any reason to believe that LS3's are more than a couple tenths quicker than L99's.

well i was saying an LS3 car would pull it up top better than an L99 car would. i think that the L99 car would be a better over all race because i would assume that the Auto car would hook and get out of the hole better than the manual tranny car. however, because of the LS3's ablity to trap better (by at least 3 mph over the L99) it would pull much harder on the top end.
and a 108mph vs 111 mph is very significant. (L99 vs LS3 fast list times)

The L99s would be a more consistent vehicle in the hands of your average driver, and the LS3 is only better in the hands of very good-great drivers IMO.

Yes the G8 sounded sick as hell and the SHO has a lot of potential, quite the sedan.

Now Chevy needs to bring back the G8 as an Impala, Chevelle or something...

The G8 was seriously too good of a vehicle for it to die with its brand.

It was the car that was going to get me back in a domestic until it was killed off...

As soon as I found out there were gonna kill Pontiac I went out and bought mine.....

Alot of the parts are interchangeable with the GTO and the 5th gen Camaro...

No problem with that, I haven't been saying that the LS3 cars aren't faster. Its the difference that I'm concerned with. Stock SHO's are high 13s cars and trap a little more than 100 mph. So when you say that it would be a 'decent race' between an L99 SS and an SHO, I have to figure you expect similar results from those L99 Camaros.

If I wanted a 4-door I would have gotten a CTS-V. I think stock rolling off the dealer lot it could take that Taurus SHO.
