If I have time, I'll try to swing by... Just got back this past Friday from a 3-week vacation with family and got a lot of catch up things to do. Finally getting the swaybar fiasco resolved in the coming weeks. Needed to use vacation time and follow-up calls to get things straightened with Pedders. If anyone is thinking of Pedders upgrades, give me a shout and I've give my take on it.

I was planning on upgrading to Pedders products when they were suppose to come to hawaii back in December, but never heard back from them when they didnt have enough camaros to make it worthwhile for them flying here. I'm still interested on what you thought of the suspension upgrades as well as who you found who can do the install. Also didnt know anything about having the car "recon" after the work is done to get saftey inspection approval. Not sure what recon entails and if its worth the trouble.

Any input would be appreciated. If you can make the potluck, ask for Mike or Lynda (2010 Camaro SS, SIM w/ rally stripes) If not, you can pm me.

Unhappy

Probably can't make it now. Got rear ended going home on H1 west bound.

No license, no insurance, did not have registration.

Need to see how bad under the rear fascia. Exhaust tailpipe pushed in. Alignment gap between body and fascia. Their car front end smashed in and radiator leaking. Needed to be towed.

Oh man. That sucks big time. Figures its always someone with no license, insurance or registeration and thier fault. Will your insurance cover the repairs? I'm pretty sure they (other driver) cant afford to have it fix it since they couldnt afford insurance. What were they driving?

Just glad your ok!

No one got seriously hurt. A young boy hit his head on the seat since he was riding on his Aunt's lap in the back seat. 3 Adults, 3 children, Honda Accord 4d sedan, 5 passenger vehicle. Only 2 child seats. Equals many tickets, court date, and scoldings by two cops at the scene.

I get pissed at the irresponsiblity of drivers and parents when I see kids jumping around in the car/van when they are suppose to be buckled and in child seats.

I came to a sudden stop like all stupid traffic times and I could see this happening in slow motion. If I let off the brake, I would've rolled into the SUV in front and cause damage to front and rear. I was worried when this car behind me came close to my bumper at speeds prior to the collision. People should keep their distance and look at traffic ahead. Glad there was no serious injury. The grandfather sitting in the front seat said he would make sure the kid sees a doctor. I didn't want to talk to the driver after she couldn't produce paperwork.

It's in the courts hands now. I pay for the deductable and hopefully my non-OEM cat-back exhaust gets paid by the replacement cost of a stock exhaust($1021). Insurance company goes after driver and gets reimbursed. After that, I get my deductable back... if they can pay. I became one of the statistics that get hit by the 30-50% of non-insured cars and the driver didn't have a license.

CRAP. But need to remind myself that no one got seriously hurt and material things can be replaced. Just a bummer...

Same thing happened to me about a week ago. Non-insured drive hit me out near Hanauma bay, I was stopped at a redlight. The rear of the camaros hold up pretty well. Her car had simular damage to the person who hit you. I just had a few cracks in the bumper. She says she going to pay for it when she gets back to Hawaii in a couple of days.

Dang, sorry to hear that fellas. And here I was bummed because i misjudged how far the front was and hit one of those big concrete parking barriers on Pearl Harbor by the shipyard. Some deep scrapes and gouges in the lower front fascia. My own fault of course. Just a bummer.

That happen in the morning traffic or evening traffic sting?
(Nevermind, I can see the zip lane barrier and sun position after I looked again)

Well someone post something awesome and lighthearted now, this is a lot of camaro pain and suffering Seriously though, glad to hear everyone involved is ok.

well on a good note, i got my MRT (Mustang Racing technology) V2 exhaust installed by mobotech and i am very pleased with the job.
i absolutely love the exhaust! It makes the whole house vibrate everytime i start it up LOL.

i also purchased my Colorshift halos, footwells, dome and trunk lights, and my liscense plate LEDs. Expecting to arrive this coming friday, hopefully the install will be simple and i wont encounter any problems.

Thanks for posting the pics. When will you be back on island? Really liked your camaro after seeing it in person. Hard to tell it was two toned from the pics you posted and cant wait to see your side mirror lights when you get them connected.

We had a nice time at the potluck and glad the weather held up. Started raining just when we started taking down the tarps. Man, that fried chicken was awesome!!!

Talk is that we might put together another island cruze in July and possibly attending a car show in force on the second week in July. At least the 2010 camaro owners are starting to get together more often on Oahu. Our first island cruise had 15 camaros roaming the islands. Hopefully with more camaro owners we can get up to 20!

Bah, who cares about v6 versus v8. I'm all about getting to know other people on island with Camaros. Besides, last I checked I was getting 15mpg... Not that I bought the car for gas mileage, but geez!

Anyway, I just registered for the Pearl Harbor 4th of July Block Party Show 'n Shine. If anyone is gonna be out there on the 4th you can check out the paint on my car. Wasn't planning on showing it, but enough people suggested I should on Saturday that I think I'll do it, just to do it. Hope to see some of you there!
