Fbodfather had said originally that the system would be changed after thanksgiving, but some buyers started posting that they made their changes this week so I figured all the dealers systems had been updated.

As usual....fbodfather had the correct information

First of all, Thanks for protecting me as I sleep at night! My family appreciates your sacrifice.

Find a dealer to work with and you can have the car drop shipped to your local dealer. It doesn't go against their "allocation" and you get your car. I have heard the local dealer isn't forced to participate, but it is rare if they don't.

I agree with you there, they wont be the original RS wheels.the pollished is a upgrade to any of the models, midnight silver is the true RS wheel.Dont know how it will affect value of car down the road? My opinion get what u wont ,both being from factory, u cant go wrong, dont think the value will be that much between the 2 in 30 years, just my thoughts.

I am able to change my customers orders on there Camaro's your dealer didnt dig deep enough. A phone call to the DBC would have handled it. He should be able to do it through order workbench Friday 11/28/08. It really is embarrassing how many "dealers" are not up to snuff on how to run there core business which is selling vehicles to customers. I guess its no wonder so many are going tits up during this economic downturn. I think there are only 3 of us that work in dealerships in this site who have spoken up, I would have thought there would have been 100 or more in here trying to better understand there customers needs on such an important vehicle to there portfolio. Oh well.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Let the eating begin!!!

Bravo!! You hit the nail on the head Bobby. This process has allowed myslef to really see how much loss in productivity is out there when it comes to selling GM cars. It seems cluelessness is the norm when it comes to salesman. If they are this dumb selling Camaros, they are this dumb selling every other GM product.

Hum just get the non polished powder coated and you'll have something unique in the looks.

Btw don't let discount tires work on expensive wheels. They scratched the chrome on my ZR1 rear 11's and where like "oh.. too bad".

I would never let discount or belle tires work on my expensive wheels unless I were there to supervise every movement of their machine. That being said...they would probably let me supervise it for $10 extra. However...the dealer will not let you supervise it under any conditions. So where does that leave you?????

I agree with teamlynn, I found the change on Dealerworld when it came out and it shouldn't be that hard to change. I would have called the DBC if I needed to, but was able to change it on the website. Dealers and their salespeople need to up to par on this stuff at all times. We still have about 8 more allocation for Camaros in mid michigan if anyone needs to put an order in. I can help anyones questions if they need help. I use to do all the ordering for our dealership and have been taking care of all the Camaro stuff.
