Im thinking of doing this too and the shop I go to recomends me a ATI balancer, upgraded intercooler, 12 rib set up, duel fuel pump. This only was recomended for the F1 procharger. Now if u do th D1sc you would only need a fuel booster pump. I know it starts adding up quick thats why im leaning to the D1sc with the helical gear set (aka the quiet sc). keep us posted!

Not a fan anymore. I think the R and D has been behind in the past. A couple of years back, we basically took the kit apart and fixed it on the vette forum. I contacted them more than once about issues and how to solve them with the product. I never got 1 reply. 1 year later the new kit fixed all the problems exactly like we did. No thanks or a free shirt or anything for the guys on the forum. Never a reply one. They will never see a dollar from me.

Ok.. Procharger makes some decent power... I like them, and I stayed with them, but I have had a few headaches.. like the way that you cannot run CAI with it.
below are two of my threads. I had a D1SC on a stock motor with no additional fuel upgrades. big mistake, think this lead to a broken piston. I think the F1 on a stock motor is overkill. I was making 8lbs boost and put down 607hp on the dyno. right at the cusp of being too much for stock internals. You can see my other thread is currently still in progress. If you have any other questions i will share all i have. Andro is another guy that can help you out! Ill keep an eye on the thread! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ght=procharger http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91478 |

imo, an f1 is WWAAAYYY overkill for a stock motor. f1's are meant for serious street/strip cars, or drag only cars.
care to enlighten some of us to what your goals are with the car?

i would follow my first link to the T... 600+ rwhp... great sound... mean noise.
BUT... you have to upgrade the fuel system.. its another 800 bucks or so... but i learned the lesson the hard way. D1SC procharger and the 4.5in pully i think will get you about 8-9psi |

The F1 is designed for a built motor and a lot of boost and power. The only people that I know of who get away with it on the street have at least 402ci and a fully forged shortblock with worked heads, intake and cam. Not to mention it takes a different fuel pump, injectors, and possibly lines and rails. If you just have to have a centri SC on your ride I would look at the D1SC. You could always change that head unit to the F1 later on down the modded line. Look into East Coast Supercharging as they some how know how to make a stock motor live on the big Centri SC units like the F1 or Vortech's big unit.

One of the SoCal guys put one on his car prior to picking it up from the dealership. Bone stock with less than 500 miles and the procharger put down pretty good numbers.

IMO - If you want "BIG" that would make jaws drop you could go with a F-3, but that would be very impractical. You have to make the final decision on looks vs. power but more so you really have to be honest with yourself on intended use. Many here have experience with ProChargers. These guys are steering you the right way with the D1. Per ProCharger here are the units you may choose for a 2010 Camaro system: P-1SC-1, D-1SC or F-1. You may wish to give them a call at 913-338-2886 and get their recommendation. Glad to see that you are going to add some more HP to your Camaro !

We have built several Procharged Nickey Super Camaros and have a 1,000 plus rwhp build, with a Procharger in the works.
Great product. If you like the looks and the way they make power, it is one of the best ways to make HP with a 5th generation Camaro. |
