man, how many of these threads have to keep popping up and how many times are people convinced they are the authorities on something they know nothing about?

If we're gonna play the magazine game, I can cherry pick too:

Edmunds (07 350z) 5.1 0-60, 13.7 quarter mile (they got a 13.6 with the 08 Nismo)

Car and Driver (07 350z) 5.2 0-60, 13.7 quarter mile

and check out any other magazine that suits your interest and stop pulling the reviews for oldest the model years.

For reference, as I've probably stated a thousand times on these boards, the older 350z's vs the V6 may be a decent race- but the 03-04's were able to hit hit 13's fairly commonly stock which the V6 Camaro has not yet done (but we will give it time).

The 2006 350z shown in the video linked above is probably the worst example of a race between a 350z you could post due to:

a.) It being a 2006 model- known as the slowest model year (do the research yourself, or check the top 25 quarter mile times on my350z- I don't know if many broke 13's stock),
b.) a convertible (roadster) which is heavier and slower than the coupe models, with top down
c.) an automatic with even more drivetrain loss than the standard

I hardly think that the V6 Camaro is going to hit mid to low 13's stock this century, if it ever hits 13's whatsoever, whereas the new 07-08 350z hits mid 13's commonly and has hit 13.1's stock numerous times with different drivers (*waits for the 'BS' calling- check my prior posts, I've done the work for you and even posted videos), not to mention this is confirmed by my350z and as legit as any quarter mile times on this board.

So let me put this baby to rest:

03-04 350z/G35 vs 2010-2011 V6 Camaro- driver's race with edge toward G35, 350z (if they know how to drive)

05 350z/G35 vs 2010-2011 V6 Camaro- driver's race with edge toward G35/350z (if they know how to drive)

2006 350z/G35 vs 2010/11 V6 Camaro- driver's race, very close- edge either way (with automatics probably the Camaro takes it)

2007-08 350z vs 2010/11 V6 Camaro- not a chance the Camaro takes this unless the Z driver fails at life.

07-08 G35c vs 2010/11 Camaro V6- driver's race, edge towards G35c (note, the G35 Coupe never received the VQ35HR engine upgrade the 350z did in the last years, only the 07+ G35 sedan). The G35 Sedan for this year (with the revised engine) runs high 13's.

If you need to believe that the V6 Camaro is faster than a Z than take it to the track, take a video and post it, but please stop acting like you have information which you obviously don't.

Agreed. He's probably one of the very few people on this site who knows of the DE vs. HR engines. Good job

I don't know, I mean with a CAI the V6 camaro is 330hp just like the G37, so for basically less then 400 bucks the HP level would be the same

No matter how many mods you do to a Camaro, a G35 still isn't a G37.

Still basically a driver's race but I would still expect manual Camaro to pull even on ahead slightly on the top end of pre 2006 G35 coupes. G35 sedans are noticeably lighter and faster than G35 coupes take note as well....

The whole G37 lineup will be getting direct injection soon, I believe for the 2012 model year it was, and have an SAE confirmed 350 bhp.
