I hope that's a factory RPO...

Corvette dudes still debate this now.

Biggest arguments: Clear bra is always on

Clear bra dulls the appearance. It's more noticeable on different colors.

I got the Genuine GM traditional bra.

Did someone say bedliner?

Else, how about this for temporary use?

Bug & Tar Protective Shield
Spray on. Drive. Wash away bugs & tar.

Rain-X® Bug & Tar Protective Shield is created on a simple idea that bugs and tar can't damage what they can't touch! Bug & tar residue can damage your vehicle. This revolutionary aerosol spray creates a thin barrier of acrylic polymer to shield your vehicle from bug and tar residue.

Water-soluble formula easily washes off, carrying all potentially damaging debris with it!

Apply before long road trips or in heavy bug season

Safe on chrome, metal, paint and plastic

Quick tip: If you want to see how the shield works, spray a small area of film on your vehicle and peel off the film!

The 3m clear bra is great. A buddy of mine has it on both of his C6 Corvettes. The only issue for me is the seam which if you look you can see pretty easy. Some colors show more than others but at the end of the day I think it is a good tradeoff since you don't have to worry about the car getting torn up by sand and rocks. Only word of caution make sure you go with a reputible shop because if the guy putting it on does not do a good job there can be issues.

could you not just stop the bra when it meets the hood and fenders? where there is already a line

like others have said u just gotta watch when u wax. and remember u get what u pay for. some clear bras leave u with a bad orange peel reflection while others leave u with a almost perfect reflection(pic i posted)

Rain-X is great for protection against bugs and tar and for those days you just want to burn rubber like a crazy man.

In this pic it looks like someone has keyed your car across the hood. How is that "not noticeable"?

I had to zoom way in to see it, it's way further up the hood than I've seen them before.

Really? That's the 1st thing I noticed when he posted that pic. I first thought someone scratched the hell out of the hood until I seen the closeup pic and seen that it was actually the bra. I too was expecting the bra to be lower down on the hood. The bra itself looks great but that edge kills it for me. The OCD in me would make me get the whole hood done just to get rid of that edge.
