2011 - TPW 6/14/2010 Checkin Station

Great, do our cars really need to be delayed further. I had posted some where that I was trying to plan a vacation from work for when the car arrives. To be on the safe side I put my vacation in for the week of 7/12, I figured the car would definitely be in my possession by then. Now I'm thinking I made a mistake between this steering thing and the length of time its taking to get here, it could be over 2 weeks before I see this car.

As of right now, my car is still in transit, if it arrives at port this week, that leaves another 3-7 days till its trucked to my dealer, factor in the the holiday, and I'm probably looking at 2 weeks from today. This sucks!

My wife was going to work down one of our main streets here in KC (street dealership is on), and as soon as she went over the highway a truck with GM cars pulled in front of here.......GUESS WHAT was on in..??? YEP MY CAR. She followed it to the dealership and this morning I get woke up by my cell phone picture mail.......WTF??? YEEEE HAAAAAA!!!!!!!! LOOKS BEAUTIFUL ON THE TRUCK.......LOL

My car's status as of today, according to camarotracking.com, is On Hold at Osh . Apparently the power steering issue is real but again yesterday i talked to my salesman who showed me his papers coming from GM stating that the car was shipped!!! and he was invoiced accordingly!! I dont know what to do or who to believe anymore...at this point i dont really care, when its here its here.

I was on a truck for delivery and they took it off.

It looks like we ordered the exact same car... I called GM again this morning. She didn't say anything about a hold, but that it was going over it's final check before it's shipped. I specifically asked about the HOLD and they said, the distribution center didn't say anything like that but and that I should call my dealer for the most up-to-date info." But she did give me a reference number in the event I call back...lol

OH - And I'm glad your wife found your car bnsmith78. I hope they will give it to you. I'm just having some not so good luck I guess.

Still not ok to release car to me yet. My dealer said nobody should get their cars as of right now. He will update me today and I will post it......

Against my better judgment, I decided to give my dealer a call today, and I'm glad I did. So he told me that my car is in fact on the train, some how they were mistaken when they told me it was at the port(camarotracking was correct). He also assured me, once it arrives he will have it pulled up ahead of there other deliveries, so I won't be held up there. At this point I'm glad I have an answer, but I'm not holding my breath for delivery before the 4th...

No I didn't ask and he didn't tell. I have to assume this hold will be cleared up soon. I know it sucks, but I'm glad that if there is a problem GM took quick action. I'd rather wait a week, and know that my car is functioning correctly, versus finding out on the road, where there could be a danger to myself or others.

What did camarotracking told you before the car was put on hold?

My car was born two weeks ago today..
It took 1 week to travel the first 500 miles..
It has now sat a week 2 hours away...
I think the car carriers forgot about it :(

Hopefully I will get it by the long weekend

Hold is lifted. Now they are giving some bs about resetting the delivery schedule and its been pushed back. Can't we just go get it?? Its 20 mininutes away !!!
