Have you had any problems with the glass window coming out?

Dr. Jekel: glass is held on with double-sided sticky tape. The first day my glass was loose, I pushed it back into place and have had no other issues.

Klandry: I mounted the washer bag directly below where the blue CAI label is on the air box (see above pic) where the stock washer bottle normally resides. If you look at the washer bag kit photo, you'll see a couple of sheet metal screws and a bracket. I measured out where I wanted the bag to hang, drilled a couple of holes in the metal near the area where the stock air box duct originally was and screwed the bracket into place. I also tie-wrapped one of the loops of the washer bag to the car's wiring loom to ensure that it wasn't directly visible from the viewing glass and to help better hold it in place. I'll snap a couple of pics and post. Hope this helps.

It's black powder coat, no ceramic.

We are only offering it in the standard polished ceramic coat and this textured black powder coat at this time.

Hmm, good info thanks. I love the look of the black, but the ability of the ceramic to be heat resistant is a huge advantage it would seem. I would love to see some ambient and IAT numbers on both units.

The same concern has been voiced a few times regarding these black systems and below is how I responded.

That being said, while the ceramic coating is a prominent aesthetic feature (I might point out, the reason its so prominent is because all stock intakes systems and the vast majority of aftermarket intake systems are black.) and does have a practical purpose on the standard CAI intake its not what provides the bulk of the performance gains. The real gains are made by the addition of a more efficient intake tract feeding a higher volume of air into the engine.

I would point out the amazing performance numbers posted by Camaros running ADM Performance intake systems as real world evidence that the black textured powder coated finish isn't going to make a significant impact on the CAI systems performance. Its just a new option we thought we would offer for the more sinister crowd.

Damn clean looking CAI! Looks like it belongs there--almost stock.

That's a great point point about the ADM intake. I will be going with ADM or the black CAI. When I decide, you'll be getting an order.
