I was considering the new cover so that I can keep my stock cover stock. In case I ever go back to a stock car. Plus the dremel does not cut very straight it looks as if this cover may snap in, which it may not be able to do with a wiggly dremel cut.

With a dremel, I would make a cut that is slightly too small for the HUD to fit, and then use the sanding apparatus for the dremel to fine-tune the edge to get the HUD to fit snug.

No doubt it will be a PITA though.... maybe a new cover would be worth it if its less than $300 and not a HUGE PITA to remove/replace.

Probably the master database like I use? The trademotion catalog?

Actually I discovered the AC delco canada site I went to has the 2011 Silverado listed. So I don't think it will be too long.

The vette's are plumbed for the HUD, assuming someone can confirm the camaro's have the wiring there for a HUD, its only a matter of time!

Some info i got today on this.

" The head up display displays the vehicle speed based on the information from the ECM.
The ECM sends the vehicle speed info via a high Speed-Bus signal to the instrument cluster.
The instrument cluster then sends the vehicle Speed info via a low speed can-Bus signal to the head up display in order to display the vehicle speed."

Any way ordered the switch its one part and the wiring harness today was less then $60will get back soon..

Maybe we can ask Camaro68 to pull out the gauges, and lets see how the HUD is wired up.
