Why are ARH headers primaries contoured rather than straight like others? "By making them the same length, it guarantees that each cylinder's exhaust gases arrive in the collector spaced out equally so there is no back pressure generated by the cylinders sharing the collector." Also somewhere I read that the more gradual the merge in the collector, the less backpressure as well but dont quote that.

Since we have gone off topic and are discussing design and we have 2 header manufacturers commenting..., I have read that 4-2-1 (V8) headers provide extra torque compare to 4-1 designs.

I want to know if the same applies for a 3-2-1 design for a V6 and if so, why nobody is bringing that to market.
