I think the beige interior really goes well with the car's exterior color. I changed my order at the last minute as I was going to go with the black interior. The beige really brightens up the cabin. The HUD is cool, but really just a novelty IMHO. I would say it appears about 6" by 5" on the windshield and appears as if it is sitting on the hood of the car instead of right on the windshield. Everybody thinks the HUD rocks. I'm surprised at how many people have never seen one on a car.

I forgot to mention in the post that I got the manual six speed tranny. I just couldn't spring for a car this cool and have an automatic. Sort of defeats the purpose, but hey, to each their own.

Haven't wiped the grin off my face since Thursday.

I sat in one this week and I have to admit I too think that the HUD rocks. So much so I am pondering trading in my 2010. Wish it came on the 1ss.

About the break-in period -- run it hard NOW. It will seal the piston rings, etc by heating them up.

There's a lot of info on this on the internet. The old-school advice on taking it easy for 1,500 miles is outdated.

Today's engines are built to exacting tolerances. I'm no engineer, but I did the research.

GM still says take it easy because their lawyers don't want you crashing your new car, and they're on the hook if you throw a rod or blow a gasket under warranty!

There's actually a guide on-line for how long to run it hard, how long to run it easy, etc.

The key is to NEVER run her hard when the engine is cold -- wait until the oil temp is around 200 degrees.

And vary the load on the engine for the first 1,500 miles.

Congratulations! Welcome to the club!

And looking at your pics, I can't wait to be able to open the windows. I picked mine up on Thursday afternoon, but on Weds, I called up to have window tint put on, so I have had to wait a few days. Hopefully I can open them on Monday!

Very nice. That was one of the colors that I was having a hard time making up my mind between that and white

Love the color combo. I had HUD with our 92 Bonneville SSEi and now 2 Vettes. Love it and wish the Transformer had it. Congrats.
